I am glad that after reading the comments, you question why you coach in the first place. If nothing else, progress is being made. Have a good evening. Muda69 Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 High school football is not the NFL. The prima donna suburbanites in Noblesville need to realize that. 1 Quote
Indiana Fan Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 This was a hot topic all over socials for a week or 2 period and now it seems to have gone cold. Any new info or speculation on this position at Noblesville. Seems to me like they have been wasting time… Quote
Coach Radican Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 (edited) Interviews are currently underway. I believe there are 4 candidates being interviewed, yesterday and tomorrow. They kept it open to get applicants and allow the process to play out. It will be decided this week, and go to the board for approval first week of January. The pool is very notable and there are some rings associated with the names. The supposed front runner initially took another job so this will definitely be interesting. Should know something very soon. The real topic should be focused on when the Harvard of the Midwest will finally choose their new HC? Word on the street is that there is a team meeting at 1pm today, and it will be announced. But we shall see. Tired of waiting. Chirp Chirp! Edited December 3, 2024 by Coach Radican Quote

I have heard some rumors of big names as well. Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Who is the Harvard of the midwest ? Quote

Coach Nowlin Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 There is some smoke around Chuck Martin to Purdue, this is correct, but so early right now in process But one would think, If Coach Martin to Purdue would keep Coach Simmons potentially in a role with him at Purdue, which could mean he is off the market at places such as Warren / Noblesville if he is wanting to head back into the HS game. Coach Radican Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Well, my humor was lost on everyone. Was referring to THE Ball State University Cardinals. Sometimes referred to in the phrase used above. Anyway, it is expected that they announce today. I doubt Coach Martin would leave for Purdue. All he does is win games/conference titles in Oxford. He has it pretty good there. But money always talks so it is not implausible. Back to the original thread, Noblesville has a good pool of qualified coaches interviewing, this week, multiple titles under their belt as assistant coaches and HC's. It will be a tough decision for the AD and the committee. Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I was wondering with the classic CHIRP CHIRP. 🙂 Never heard of the Harvard however, I just know I didn't want to write a 600 word essay in 1998 as part of the admission process, so that went into the trash can and this Purdue Application with no essay went in the mail. Rest as they say......is history 1 Quote

Wait...so I'm confused - Mr. Hebert was the previous coach at Carmel, but just "resigned" - only to take a Coaching job for the next football season?? I know we are not ever allowed to discuss anything in terms of the rumor-mill on this forum, but this seems odd to me? Seems to me 2 plausible explanations for this scenario: 1. His "resignation" was more of a "suggestion" type deal 2. The article mentioned he has a son in the Noblesville feeder program, and took this as an opportunity to Coach his son (which is certainly most understandable) 1 Quote

I may have read it wrong however. Edited December 18, 2024 by US31 Quote

His kid was not at Noblesville, but likely will be now. Quote
