You go get'em Rudy!!

I would have thought that getting to the doorstep (the NCG) last year would propel them to more heights THIS year...

Guess not.

Probably a moot point, although you're right. Early projections are calling them a Top 3 team. Talk about waking a sleeping giant. The sham that took place on Sunday will propel team to heights next season that will make the haters lose their minds. My only concern next season is the schedule and whether it will prepare them for the playoff.

Schedule is a freaking joke, just like this year. Notre Dame is an island unto itself…

I don’t understand why they just don’t make the thing public. I thought the Committee was all about “transparency.” I mean, most of the cat is out of the bag already.

It's the most transparent Committee in the history of transparency. No one is more transparent than this committee. They know more about transparency than anyone they know.

Why have we not heard from the HC Still?

Too busy with NY football Giants?

Why do we need to?

Do you have a link to prove he’s talking to the Giants or is this just spreading rumors?

I think a Head Coach as a responsibility to meet with local media after every season

Still a  rumor. Didn't think we allowed those here.

sigh.........

Show me mr. moral compass of how we run things around here at ANY POINT in your existence of your memberships where College and NFL jobs were subject to the HS Football Coach who works for stipends........

You know this,...... unless you just being obtuse because you know.... boredom.... or who knows why.... but yeah , you are so far off base here and you know this........ but hey..... got the attention

Wow.

I just don't see it though.

I can, maybe not right now, but imo, the most important aspect of a football coach at both professional levels (College and NFL) is being able to lead men.   Schemes come and go, game management and leadership is paramount imo.

Coach Freeman has those attributes to be successful in the NFL

Can you point us to a source for the different rules for the different categories? Only thing I can find is this line from the Rumors warning post.:

"But to just post "I heard....." regardless of what the topic is......is not acceptable on this site. "

I can't quote the entire post since the topic is locked.

Thanks.

I think he's loyal to Notre Dame and probably wouldn't want to be anywhere else. He knows he has a national championship team next year and is just one season away from having a statue put up in his honor. Hell, this year's team probably would have won the title. I think he has that itch to get it done and remain the Irish coach.

That being said, isn't being a coach in the NFL much less complicated? Can't say I'd blame him.

Took me 45 secs:

For those who feel strongly enough that rumors should be allowed on the site, keep in mind a couple things.
1. These standards were the same standards that Tim Adams, the creator of this site had in place.

2. This is HIGH SCHOOL football, not college or pro football where athletes and coaches are paid very well to do what they do. We are talking about kids, teachers, and parents. Posting rumors of those people puts indivi9duals in a spotlight that they do not necessarily deserve.

Now another 30 secs to copy past and quote

I think my 15 years of being part of the volunteer leadership team here would make me in the know on the history of what is allowed and not in this particular case of the difference of rumors of HS coaches vs this section........

So, I am sure that Marcus Freeman is VERY VERY VERY VERY concerned with the Gridiron Digest NEXT LEVEL forum on such HARSH and HARMFUL rumors about his next move if there is one that has VEGAS of all places calling him the current favorite.....   Yep, losing sleep on it I am sure
