Yep, thanks Lebron !!

While that show was beyond ridiculous, I think you can look further back. The broadcasting of signing day and the spectacle that is made by so many has contributed to it as well. For so many, the theatrics are way beyond ridiculous.

I am not going to attack or even judge the kid in this one. When you see high school athletes using the terms that the college players are using to announce their commitments, it is a bit much.

Good post Irishmen. I just think Elkhart, for the second season in a row, seems to have a solid recruiting reputation. Coincidence that the head coach is in his second year? I wish this guy the best, I just hope he's not pursuing other coach's athletes.

Clemson is my new second favorite team. Good coaching, promote from within, coach your players up from the beginning.

You must not have read up on the NewSpring church fiasco from years past huh?

Dabo seems personable but I think it’s mainly an act.

Early on I was a fan of Dabo, but remember watching a game where his punter ran a fake and did not get it. While I understand being upset, he just could not let it go. The amount of time he spent berating the kid was way over the top......and then he kept going back to the kid to yell more. I won't post the video, but it was nuts.

There had to of been something more. I can't imagine he was yelling at him solely because he wasn't athletic enough to get it. Must have been something else he screwed up.

If I remember right, the kid got a signal from the sidelines wrong. If you look at the spot on the field; at something like their own 35? It was not the spot to run a fake, for sure. Even then, it was still way over the top for a reaction.

Have I stated that? I thought he was a good hire at the time, but saw the issues around the 3rd year. Was never a fan of the extent of the yelling he did, and was glad the school leadership told him to take it down a few notches.

I've caught HELL on here a few times, berating Dabo and his antics and attitude about "student-athletes".

To me he seems to be the one of last of the DINOSAURS in collegiate athletics leading a top-tier team.  The ACC is a middling conference that he dominates.  Does anyone actually think that he'd be as successful in the BiG10 or SEC?

So?  Isn't this just high school football?

Once again adults putting way to much importance on a game, played by children.

Those children still have teammates and coaches they're bailing on. Expecting a 17 or 18 year old to have a little bit of decorum isn't that far fetched, imo.

Clemson might be the best team in the country this year. They have one of, if not the most talented rosters on paper next year with potentially 6 first round draft picks. Will know out of the gate for sure as they open up with LSU. I think he could be even a better recruiter in the SEC.

I think he might be one of the best coaches in the country...........and he's doing it without the transfer portal. Man enough to say, "I coach my kids up, don't need to go elsewhere to make myself look good."

He’s a good Christian dude with morals who would never stoop to the level of poaching is how I understand it.

Muda, I'm just sayin...  And yes I agree about too much being put on "kids".  But unfortunately THIS is exactly that...  A forum about HS Football in Indiana.

The ACC is trash when it comes to College FB.

They have individual players, but as a conference its just 'existing' at his time and waiting on Basketball season to begin.

Sorry if I have stoked the fire on Dabo.  I just don't have the same belief in his understanding of "times are a changin" that others think.
