I was surprised that WC won given that the game was at CG, but I was not surprised that WC was able to compete and win the game. They have a very solid defense and the offense has been right there on the cusp several times throughout the season. Much more improved offensively for the Warriors. I definitely feel Brownsburg is the favorite because they are solid at darn near every position but the Warriors will fight hard.

Congrats to the Trojans on a solid season.

totally concur....what will be tough is CG replacing that OL.  3 OL going D1.....Indiana, Ball State and Central Michigan.  TE going to Wake Forest.  Some pretty big shoes to fill.....no pun intended.

And to my knowledge, South Side "still leads" in National Honor Society recipients.  Granted they were the 'chosen ones' for decades prior to Snider even being in existence.

Snider vs Homestead in academics? Are you kidding me? Why on earth would I want to do that?

Honestly, I can't give you a resource backing my claim. I found something one or two years ago that showed Snider having a higher academic rating than the other FWCS's. I'll take your word for it.

It's all about Education!  You put Snider FRONT and CENTER on education in your retort!  

Sports are extracurricular.   Let's not lose sight of that little "intangible".

I have a hard time picking against a team that beat Carmel and took out Fishers by double digits. While this Charger team is pretty good, and I'd argue as good as the team that went to state a few years ago, I think the defense is a bit suspect at times and that will probably be the difference. Carroll will score points, no doubt about that, but they'll be playing from behind most of the game. I'll say Westfield by 10.

Ben Davis should be better if they can hang on to everyone. JV and freshmen had good years. Varsity was very young. Started a freshman or sophomore at QB for most of the games.

I think many may have only given them a punchers chance against CG as well...Ya got no shot Rock! Cue the music..I wonder if coaches still play movies for the kids in the locker room before games...Harding coach did it once before a supposed beatdown occurred with Northrop..yeah that long ago..i think they had won a sectional the year b4..i was not on the team yet thought they could beat the world..coach said something to the effect of the paper says they are going to take us behind the woodshed and beat our a** before he puts on the drago fight..Before the fight turns an all conference Lineman shouts "kick his a** ROCK", the locker room goes ballistic..ended up losing 14-12 that night..yet it was far from a whooping as the media predicted..

 

All that being said..I love a good underdog story..WC is still a blue blood and gets some guff when they lose more games than they should yet when it boils down to it..i will always have them as well as the Giants in my top 6 to win 6a..Until BB, the MIC held the crown in 6a, no matter who wore it..yes I am including CG...I know Westfield is tough..6 teams every year really could be hands down favorites..warren being one of them..imho..
