I think many may have only given them a punchers chance against CG as well...Ya got no shot Rock! Cue the music..I wonder if coaches still play movies for the kids in the locker room before games...Harding coach did it once before a supposed beatdown occurred with Northrop..yeah that long ago..i think they had won a sectional the year b4..i was not on the team yet thought they could beat the world..coach said something to the effect of the paper says they are going to take us behind the woodshed and beat our a** before he puts on the drago fight..Before the fight turns an all conference Lineman shouts "kick his a** ROCK", the locker room goes ballistic..ended up losing 14-12 that night..yet it was far from a whooping as the media predicted..

All that being said..I love a good underdog story..WC is still a blue blood and gets some guff when they lose more games than they should yet when it boils down to it..i will always have them as well as the Giants in my top 6 to win 6a..Until BB, the MIC held the crown in 6a, no matter who wore it..yes I am including CG...I know Westfield is tough..6 teams every year really could be hands down favorites..warren being one of them..imho..

Amen

BD should have been ranked this year

Better than crown point anyways

I just look at WC's body of work through the season and feel like they'll crumble somewhere amongst the better competition. That's this Friday in my opinion. You're right though, give a talented team the right motivation, hard telling what could happen. I've got Brownsburg at 82%. But that 18% is pretty dangerous.

Too bad there's no way of finding out. Wouldn't mind winning a couple of beers back. The Giants might even be a Top 25 team, but they'd lose to CP, Penn, Dwenger, and Carroll in my opinion. Ben Davis = Merrillville, and I say that as a compliment as I think the Pirates are a very good football team.

Only thing that gives me pause is "playoff Brownsburg."

As I mentioned when the pairings were released, one state title cannot erase my memory of their past playoff failures.

A win Friday night goes a long way.

Not an excuse guy, but CG's injuries were well documented and you could tell they missed those guys.

Credit to Warren for getting the win.

I also would say Coach Whitaker is very familiar with the Bulldog players (strengths/weakness) and the schemes the Bulldogs run. Doesn't mean the players will execute perfectly to whatever game plan Coach Whitaker and staff put together. On the flip side Coach Hart is very familiar with Coach Whitakers scheme.

I think Brownsburg has the more talented team overall at all positions, but there are definitely players for WC at certain positions that are equally as talented if not more talented.

Anyone have the turnover margin for WC against the better teams on their schedule?  It doesn't seem like they have fixed that problem.

I take a big pause with BB, they seemed to always be undefeated then lose when it came to title time, yes last year broke the mold. Those mic schools think tourney time is their time, or least I assume they think this way. CG had kids out, just figured it would be next man up with that program. I know WC path to LOS is pretty laxed and its almost if they win "one" game they're in- with the trojans not being full strength. The bulldogs schedule is no slouch, yet if they played more MIC teams they may have suffered a loss..I know westfield played them pretty tough and a rematch seems realistic...Those kids have confidence now and nothing to lose as underdogs and I can only imagine how many supporters of that program are reminding them of the glory days..Its a reason why the crown has been worn by only a few...js..

Agree. Center Grove didn't seem to be the same team they were at the beginning of the season. Brownsburg got over the hump last season, they're winning this game comfortably.

Yeah, it was evident that this wasn't the Center Grove team they were supposed to be. Coach Moore did a great job holding the MASH unit together.

100 percent. They MUST avoid the careless turnover.

Is Westfield a run or pass oriented team? If it rains, I don't see Carroll having much of a chance. Their offense is driven by their ability to pass the ball.

You are hilarious my man.

I knew that post would bother you, you're way too predictable. Give me some substance other than "you're hilarious my man."

I know what you're thinking, because again, you're predictable. You think I'm preparing myself to say on Saturday morning "the only reason Carroll lost is because it rained." I have no clue if Carroll would lose in the rain, I simply asked if Westfield is run or pass oriented. If they are run, then I'd have to say the rain would greatly favor them. Who in their right mind would claim that I'm wrong?

I wouldn't say all positions.  Finch at DE and Thomas at RB for Warren I believe are the most talented at those positions...by a longshot.  Overall team, I agree with you.

Offensive Guru Dinan puts JVP in at QB/RB and runs wildkat...get the ball in the hands of your playmakers and get out the way..Still think Rocks are BFS than chargers yet could be entertaining for the first half.

You are on record on this site as picking the game in both directions so that you can say “I told you so” Saturday morning no matter the outcome.

Not the first time either.

Just make a damn pick and let the chips fall.

Nah, I just like pulling strings on the way there. Then I make my pick.

Waiting on the injury/weather report, lol?

I already gave my prediction, why do I have to give it again?

Lets roll with.............Carroll wins if they play to their potential. They lose if they have an off night.
