I am agreeing with you. Quote

I only saw the comment though Temp's post. I put that clown on ignore. He's just trying to push buttons. Would love to see Carroll vs New Pal, but would never happen. Carroll is the 19th largest school in the state, hence the stupid 5A comment. Don't take the bait. 1 Quote

gonzoron Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 (edited) I'm cheering for Westfield in the 6A title game. I hope they can pull out the win for Bobby as a perfect end to his run as head of the Youth League. I'm sure he coached a lot of these kids 7 years ago. Edited November 26, 2025 by gonzoron Quote

The big difference is the size of the kids on the offensive line, especially home grown kids in the suburbs. Winning 6A starts with the offensive line, the rest will follow. A good offensive = impressive QB, WR, and RB stats. I think a team like Brownsburg punishes you with coaching and precision. When they take the field, they don't look much different than 10 other teams in my opinion. Same with Center Grove. The execution is top notch. As I said in a previous post Branden Sharpe is very fast and very dangerous if you want to try and stop Brownsburg's run game. 5 total targets to Sharpe 4 catches 151 yds 1 TD in the first half only. 1 kickoff return 99 yds for TD. He broke the record for most receiving yards in the first half without being targeted in the second half. I felt like Brownsburg went a little too conservative in the second half and Westfield took advantage of it and tried climbing back in. Bad news for the rest of the State, Frye, Sharpe, and Lewis return next year for the Bulldogs. I can definitely see why Coach Hart went conservative (knowing Westfield plays well defensively in 2nd half, relying on his solid run game, not taking a chance of an INT) just feel they probably should have put their foot on the gas pedal a little more in the 3rd qtr 17 out of 20 plays in the 3rd qtr were run plays. In the 4th qtr I can understand run the football. Edited December 1, 2025 by FastpacedO Quote

Just a good benchmark for everyone else. But it all starts at the top. Center Grove had their run with Moore, now Brownsburg is having theirs with Hart. Hats off to they guy. Quote

I know Brownsburg had some fast dudes on their track team last year, Sharpe looks like he is a sub 11 100m guy..wonder what his official 40 time is..if i was the track coach id be all over that..speed kills... I think @Sparty is saying Center Grove isn't done winning State Championships with Coach Moore. I would agree with him. They have some Offensive Lineman to replace but they have a lot of young skilled players returning. A healthy CG team this year would have probably gone deeper. Brownsburg would have been a tough match-up for them in Semi-State but they would have been competitive. The injury bug at RB position caught up to the Trojans. I was waiting for them to blow the dust off of Trojan Dad or @Bash Riprock they were going so deep into the well. 1 Quote

I hope you are correct....they also lost an incredible receiver as well early in the season. But, part of the game. Definitely feel bad for those injured. But, strong programs reload. As always, incredible competition in 6A. Quote

They just haven't won the title since all of the rhetoric out of that community a few years ago..........."everyone is afraid to play us." It's been three years now. How many more years do you think Eric Moore will continue to go? There's no guarantees when the head coach calls it quits. Quote

They went 10-2 with a M.A.S.H. unit football team this year losing in Semi-State to WC 24-21. You must not remember that last year they lost in Semi-State to eventual State Champion Brownsburg 31-27, Brownsburg had 3 consecutive very tight games leading up to the State Championship. Center Grove had the ball with under a minute trailing 31-27 and ended up throwing an Int on 4th down. The year prior to that they lost 37-34 in OT to Ben Davis in Semi-State. It isn't like they haven't been right in the mix the last 3 years. Quote

When the day comes that Coach Moore decides to hang it up there will be high interest in the job. I think one of the top candidates who would be interested would be Coach Mallory at Lawrence North. He is part of the Moore Coaching Tree knows Moore's system very well a former assistant at CG and very familiar with the school and has done amazing things bringing LN from the bottom to the top.
