  1. Evansville Reitz used to use purple and orange. In the mid 1900s, they gave the colors to Evansville Lincoln high school, and adopted the colors of blue and grey.

  3. Columbus East- The powers that be back in the beginning liked the Cleveland Browns and USC Trojans. Hence the brown and orange uniforms. The school song is the USC tune . The school began in an Olympic year so they are called the Olympians.

  6. IU added some really solid transfers this offseason. Added former top 50 recruit DJ Matthews from Florida State who should replace Whop Philiyor in the slot Added Ryder Anderson DE from Ole Miss who immediately gives IU a solid pass rusher, the one thing IU's defense lacked last year Interior lineman Zach Carpenter from Michigan who started for the Wolverines last year. Those won't show up in any recruiting rankings but 3 players who should all contribute immediately for a team set to return 17-18 starters.

  8. Congrats to Ball State and Indiana. ND's not an Indiana school. They're an extension of Chicago's South Side 😃.

  13. Demolish is a good word to use if you are describing the first half of the first quarter. That's just 1/8 of the the game. What I saw was a Notre Dame team that fought hard and held Alabama to their lowest scoring output of the season. But the media wont mention that, it doesn't fit their narrative. I also saw a ND touchdown get called back on the same drive that stalled at the 10 yard line. I saw a missed field goal opportunity. I'm seeing a score that could potentially have been 31-24. But what fun is that? It's easier to just say that ND got "demolished" and did not belong...............even though the first ten games of the season suggest otherwise. Here's the thing. The only teams that are remembered year after year are the teams that make the playoffs. ND will go down as a team that had an opportunity to play for a national title for the third time in nine years. That's once every three years. Not bad for a program that does things right and continues to put the student in front of the athlete. Notre Dame is relevant on a national scale, they will be remembered in 2020, and they'll be back next year. Unfortunately, that will bother some.

  14. The problem is one of optics. For this round of classifications, we are the smallest 4A school with around 900 total students. While our boys team pulled off a HUGE upset for the sectional title beating Homestead last year, it is not a common thing. Homestead has about 2,000 students. The Regional opponent was going to be Carmel before the cancellation hit. Even though it is a cut sport, the size of the talent pool does matter. To have a school of 900 competing against a school of over 5,000 looks off. Eliminate another class, and that number becomes more drastic.
