It will be interesting to see how East Central does this year. I have heard some things from some Penn players that the new coaching staff is 100% committed to changing the culture at the school. Get back to the that winning mentality, blue collar hard work kinda stuff you like to hear. I am more optimistic for the future of the program. Which is good news.2 points

Unreal. Just the third American medal in the 10k since 1912 and the first since 1956. 4:18 mile pace for 6.2 miles… 25 straight laps averaging 64.5 seconds each.1 point

On other Olympic sports. I still can't take race/speed walking seriously: https://www.nbcnewyork.com/paris-2024-summer-olympics/race-walking-rules-events-format/5657977/1 point

I understand the history of corruption, but doesn't mean they took an unscientific approach to confirm excessive levels of testosterone. Has the IOC applied any science to their decision making and sorry...a passport is not even close to science. I understand how a passport issuance works. The fact remains regardless is that Khelif has intersex traits, and that additional level of testosterone matters. The playing fields need to be level...that's just called fairness of competition. Perhaps you'd be ok for your daughter to step in the ring with her...I absolutely would not. We have seen segments of society change when it comes to female competition....it is not impossible for me to see the IOC change as well and would not be shocked if science is discarded in the establishment of a position. The IOC is absolutely not void of politics.1 point

I'm glad you made such an admission. It's the first steps towards healing and change.1 point

The reality is the only thing that would satisfy you at this point is if she showed you her privates. You ask if the IOC has verified it, then in your next post claim they cannot be trusted. The fact is the only person you trust here to reach the conclusion that she is a female is you alone.1 point

Elkhart and Penn are fluid they can go East or West. Elkhart high is like a mile from the St. Joe county line which is like 7 miles east of Penn. Warsaw is an easy 45 minute drive from Elkhart high school...if you speed down the back roads. If we did a poll of True North teams that line is pretty much Ohio to Illinois and Fort Wayne to Michigan state line. That I think is a very interesting poll. 1- Snider 2- CP 3- Carroll 4- Penn 5- Merrillville 6- Valpo 7- Warsaw 8- Mishawaka 9- New Prairie 10- Elkhart (on potential)1 point

Isn't that what I was saying? You gave me a thumbs down. Warsaw sports is part of the Fort Wayne coverage area, so I guess one could label them NE Indiana. If one wants to get technical and throw central out the window, Warsaw shifts to the east (easily), Elkhart shifts to the east, SB/Mishawaka shift to the west.1 point

So does she have a penis or a vagina? Easy enough question to answer, right? What is a women?1 point

And in Algeria, if she had external, she would have been labeled a male. Pretty simple honestly.1 point

Here are the issues though..... 1. She has always been a female; raised and lived as one her entire life. 2. Algeria is 97% Sunni Muslim. It's illegal to be trans. The Algerian government issued her a passport. 3. 9 boxers have beaten her in her amateur career, so what does it make them? More manly? Or just better boxers? 4. Her condition does produce a higher level of testosterone in her than other females. 5. Work in a public setting long enough, especially a school and you see there is more to gender than just xy and xx. There are a number of males who are very feminine, and vice versa...to the point that if I brought a stranger in to see and said guess; it would be difficult to do. 6. Before the usual suspects attack me over this, I am not one who supports trans athletes competing with others of that gender, especially trans females. There are clear advantages. 7. The Italian boxer left herself wide open for that shot to the face.1 point

It has been brought to my attention that Micic and Mutuwa both wrestled at Hanover Central.........pretty cool for that program; and so rare to have two athletes in the same sport from the same school.1 point

Don't consider Warsaw "NW Indiana" though. I think the criteria should be the central time zone.1 point

I would say that is a fairly accurate description of the North/East rivalry. The schools do a good job of promoting the rivalry games in each sport; encouraging the student sections to come out and support their teams. Certainly a lot of trash talking leading up to the event. Then afterward, it's on to the rest of the season. We don't wear any orange clothes in our house (except when deer hunting). We joke about that with our neighbors (as we actually live in East HS district) but it's tongue and cheek. We go to church and hang out with families from both schools. But when the game starts the rivalry is on!1 point

Best response you got? Every single one of those teams would have been favored over Warren last year. Facts are facts my friend. Sucks for you to be an apologist for Warren, 0-7 vs. teams above .500 makes it way too easy. Nothing I stated was inaccurate1 point

Ben Davis - Defending 6A state champ, beat Warren last year Snider - Defending 5A state champ, throttled Warren last year Carroll - Beat Warren last year, very good team returning D1 QB, probably favorite in SAC this year Center Grove - Top 6A program in the state last 5 years, lost 37-34 to Ben Davis last year in playoffs or would have had a 4 peat Chatard - Defending 3A state champ, 15-0, beat perennial good Cathedral and dominated 3A East Central - Defending 2 time 4A state champ, top 5 regardless of class last 2 years running Cathedral - Always a state title contender regardless of class, eye test has proven to me better than Warren Crown Point - 6A state runner up last year, would have beaten Warren easily last year There are 9 teams that deserve to be ahead of Warren and that is me coming up with off the top of my head. Keep in mind, while you tout Warren, they were 0-7 vs. .500 or above teams last year. This was really too easy my friend…1 point

There's an 80% chance that one of four teams will win the state title. The other 20% is comprised of about 10 teams. Warsaw's not one of them............yet. In reality, the other 18 teams are just there as stepping stones for the others to compete for a championship.1 point

I think Warsaw is playing in the division they belong in pound for pound. I like the idea of them knocking heads with Merrillville and Valpo for 5A northern supremacy. My confidence level is very low in them ever winning a 6A title.1 point
