  1. Perhaps there should be a temporary closure of the portal during bowl season, until after the playoffs.

  2. While I cannot relate, I thought this was funny.

  3. There are a lot of great players around the state! Post your player highlights on this thread to get them as much exposure as possible. I'll start ... 👀 ... with his senior season still left play.

  4. 14 points were lost on Taylor's "fumble" and the Mitchell "air ball." It seems they are a few players short of being any kind of contender in a very weak division. I think Chris Ballard deserves the credit for that, and many it's time for a change at his position. I haven't had much faith in Ballard since he chose Perris Campbell over Terry McLaurin. That was a major mistake! And there have been more that have followed.

  5. That is what most were expecting to happen. I had even heard him referred to as the Coach in Waiting. Now we just need to wait for the white smoke from St. Boniface.

  6. Literally nothing as I think the success factor is more than adequate. And it's not an act: I still don't see any concrete proof as to why some kind of multiplier is needed in addition to or in place of the success factor. I think even something like the Iowa system is making assumptions that, while may be at least logical in terms of the disadvantages posed by low socio-economic situations, don't need to be made when you have the ability to adjust based on on the field results. As to why Indiana went to the success factor: it really doesn't matter what I think about the why - it is there now and at the end of the day it seems to work extremely well. Ultimately, I don't think either of us is going to change our minds, here, so I agree it likely is time to call it a day amicably. I made my 4 page prediction because I someone would cross over a line with the moderators, but all in all, I think the issue is just at an impasse, and that's okay.

  7. Do they? A&M went 1-3 down the stretch. Who is their best win? Missouri, a team who lost to every good team they played by 30+? LSU, a team that lost to 6-6 USC?

  8. Indiana was projected to go 4-8 this year, picked 17th out of 18 teams, with their lone B10 win projected to come against Purdue. Teams like Michigan, Nebraska, UCLA, and Washington would have finished a lot higher than 7th, 10th, 12th, and 13th had they in fact not lost to Indiana. And all would have finished with a winning record. Indiana wasn't able to play itself this year and their SOS took a hit at their opponents expense.

  9. IU goes 3-9 or 4-8 next year? That's normal for IU football. There's two, three at most, games IU will be an underdog in next year. IU going 9-3 or 10-2 next year isn't the flex you think it is nor is it returning to normal. IU still returns a lot more than you think, especially on the offensive line where everything stops and starts. IU turning over a large part of the roster and still winning 8+ games next year further supplants Cignetti's legacy.

  10. Yeah, he doesn't understand the concept of editing an original post or the quote reply function which the replying person can edit. Which I just did to your quote as an example. Pretty much internet forums 101.

  11. I guess this was inevitable. May signal the beginning of the end for Bowls, other than those involved in the CFP. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2024/12/14/marshall-football-independence-bowl-army-opt-out-charles-huff/76992687007/

  15. To be honest, I’m freezing my @ss off that afternoon and while LITERALLY walking up to the ticket gate and I ask myself…..wait…what…..I haven’t had a kid playing here in a decade …..and a fireplace just 3 miles away along with interweb service. Good sense prevailed.

  16. Think they (pekin) talked about it couple years ago and don't believe it went over at all. Probably a better fit in PLAC but not sure it'll ever happen.

  18. Not sure what that is, but it sounds pretty sick. Editing my post without my permission is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Just sayin.
