Whether this thread lives, or dies, I'm looking forward to my 2nd appearance on Hoosier Prep Gridiron's Facebook page for my posts in this here thread. HAS TO BE COMING! Lol2 points

Not only does Hoosier Prep Gridiron provide ELITE Indiana High School football coverage, they also NOW provide ELITE (Republican ONLY as of 8:35 A.M. Eastern on Thursday April 3rd) political content as well. If you didn't Like or Follow the page before YOU GOTTA NOW, RIGHT?! 🙄🤣 Disclosure: I do not care what anyone's political beliefs are, that's your business. I do care when a self-proclaimed high school football page that is for the benefit of kids begins mixing in their own personal political views on that page. Weird behavior to me but it's EXACTLY as 1st and 10 said above.2 points

Warren Mitchell told me your boat will be gone but not because you sold it. He said it’s an eyesore and the Homeowners Association is going to have it repoed since Angel Skinner ratted to him that you weren’t making the payments on time. If you hadn’t led her on about a French lick then there’d be no trouble. However, when you took her to French Lick she got pretty upset because that’s not what she was expecting.1 point

Good for him! I thought he was pretty impressive during the Sectional Championship and throughout the season.1 point

For me, it adds about 40 mins or so farther trip.. I have zero qualms adding that to the commute, the guy I have tickets with lives in Fort Wayne, so many times if we go all together he comes to my place night before and go from there, but we are both very limited these days, with my football schedule, his very successful career and 2 HS kids himself at Homestead, it can be a chore. Don't get me started on the $1200 tax bill we had to pay for our money we made on selling this past year....... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I would go in a heartbeat, she is fun !!1 point

I would love to hear who these "many" people are. Time will tell about consecutive solid seasons. I do know that we have a lot of good athletes working hard to keep momentum. We have better numbers than we have had and they are quality kids and athletes. I know we will work hard and improve. I can't wait to see all of the naysayers eat their words.1 point

I can see it now.... Steve: The wind is blowing in hard from the lake as you can see with this ball that looked like it was going to be a home run but is pushed by the wind to go over the backstop and into the pressbox. 🤣1 point

same, been to a few concerts there and for Bon Jovi, was in 400 level... no thanks, Floor seats (like 10th row) for Jay Z and Beyounce, that did not suck.... and club for Elton John, OUTSTANDING BTW, but I digress....... Perhaps, sleepy Jerry looks to take Whitesox there........1 point

Im a gamlber....and my money is 100% on Arlington Heights I was just listening to Kevin Warren and George McCaskey talk 2 days ago from the Owners Meeting and I am now even MORE convinced that is the what the Family wants to do. 1. The family has never owned their own facility, they want to 2. They want to make it like JERRY WORLD but for Chicago, Warren has been constantly talking about what it would mean to own their own: Bidding for Super Bowls, WWE, FINAL 4s, UFC, BOXING 3. Arlington Heights pushed through some Tax Codes in December 4. Arlington Heights just elected a new Mayor, according to Warren, he hasn't met with him yet, however sounds like they have had some real good talks previously with the schools and are close to a Memoradium of Understanding 5. IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE to get out of the lakefront to own their own When George McCaskey finally started to listen to Kevin Warren, you see what happened, Fired a coach mid year, broke the bank (Bears terms) for the best candidate on market and have truly wants to have world class brand for next 100 years (Warren's and McCaskey's words) Get out of the City of Chicagoas their is no room, as it stands, and leadership within the city does not deserve the Bears downtown imo.1 point

It's no longer HP Gridiron... It's HP Gridiron/Hardwood/Mat/Diamond/Conservative Politics. Can't wait until the bragging about how many views he brought in because all of us went and look at the S#!t show that it is. I don't think this helps his cause... If I was a HC at a HS, I wouldn't want anything to do with feeding his site/agenda. Also, HS sports is the last sport we can watch that are in the purest form... No $/agenda tied to the athletes... Yet a self proclaimed page that "promotes high school athletes" shows all political propaganda. It's ridiculous.1 point

I wouldn’t say it’s more severe now. With the advancement of science and technology, I think more storms are labeled as severe these days. If we had had this back then there would’ve been more storms labeled as “severe” back then as well. The 90s had some crazy weather and the 70s were even crazier. Also, fear mongering drives views/ratings so more people freak out about it now due to the coverage on the news, YouTube, and social media.1 point

My initial thought was that it meant a player has up until the last day of his/her Junior school year. To keep it as a uniform date across the board it should be prior to Week 1 of the IHSAA Calendar.1 point

In observance of the 94th anniversary of the untimely death of Knute Rockne, I was thinking of the greatest college coaches of all time. Who would be the 4 on your Mt. Rushmore? Try to avoid recency bias. My 4, in no particular order, are Knute Rockne, Nick Saban, Bud Wilkinson and Bear Bryant. For those who don’t know the details about Rockne, he coached Notre Dame from 1918-1930, compiling a record of 105-12-5, and winning 3 national championships, before dying in a plane crash on March 31, 1931, at the young age of 43. Rock turned the Irish into a national power with his brilliant offensive innovations. He practically invented the forward pass, and was among the first to use shifting and motion to create an offensive advantage at the point of attack. Who knows how many wins he would have put up, but for his untimely death.1 point

Coach Peebles did a really nice job at Harrison. I don’t think you can overlook the schedule difference between when the Raiders were in the Hoosier Crossroads under the previous coach and the schedule when he coached Harrison in the North Central Conference. The first year with Coach Peebles was also their first year in the NCC, which was definitely a competitive level change from the HCC. Don’t take that as a criticism of Coach Peebles. The changes to Harrison’s schedule starting next year probably put the difficulty way above playing in the NCC and a little below the HCC. That is probably right around where Harrison should be. It will be tough for the new coach to maintain the number of wins they’ve had in recent years, but it may prepare them a little more for a 6A sectional. Honestly, I don’t think it matters who they play in the regular season. They don’t have the Jimmy’s and Joe’s to hang with Westfield, Carmel, and Zionsville. It’s a stretch in my opinion to call the Sagamore a conference with only 4 schools, especially since Harrison and Danville (probably the 2 best teams) don’t even play.1 point

So I was looking at the schedules for HHC teams and I noticed a couple of oddities. First of all, John Harrell has New Albany playing both Bloomington North at home and Silver Creek on the road on September 26th. I knew MLB did split squad games during spring training but I didn’t know IHSAA was allowing this for regular season football games! But, in all seriousness, what I found to be more interesting is that Jennings County and New Albany are always week 3 opponents and yet they aren’t playing each other this year. Jennings County will be playing at Eastern (Pekin) while New Albany will be hosting Brownstown Central. I wondered if this was also a typo but found out from a reliable source that this is legitimate. Jennings County and New Albany won’t be playing each other. Therefore, those two will only play five conference games. How is this allowed?0 points
