I added this feature to the Predictor Tool called Predict a Tournament. It allows you to simulate up to an eight-team tournament using current Sagarin ratings. Note: There is no homefield advantage factor because I didn't think it was needed. Also, you can include byes by leaving a field blank. Enjoy!8 points

My #14 team has also beaten my #15 team and gave my #5 team all they could handle and is playing with their back up quarterback. Or .500…😉2 points

As you describe it, that sounds like a post-scrimmage kick foul. There are 5 conditions that must be met for fouls by R. During a scrimmage kick play - check The ball crosses the expanded neutral zone - check The foul happened beyond the expanded neutral zone - check Before the kick ends - check K will not be next to put the ball in play - check The foul as you described met all those criteria. Even if it was a dead ball foul, the enforcement spot would be the same since there was no return on this play. If the R player initiated that block at the line of scrimmage and kept driving the K backward, then you would not meet criteria 3 above. Then the enforcement would be correct.1 point

we are talking about a school in a pound for pound discussion, citing that they will have a better odds when moving down a class. HH is most likely the 4a favorite playing up a class Jeff is literally moved down to 5a where they will not compete for a state championship. Jeff would not be the favorite playing against GS or HH (3a teams by size). 1. NP 2. CG 3.-4. GS/HH will omit Chatard/Cathedral, though in a true pound for pound chart they are absolutely on the list, in the top 5 most years. Don't know where to rank them this year as this is not their greatest performing year. Adams central omitted, I'm well aware they are good, however I do not follow them, and thus have no idea how good/where to put them, however they would be on the list somewhere Pound for Pound is literally robbed from weight class discussions in combat sports. there is no free or reduced lunch discussion to be had. it is simply how does small school compare to large school.1 point

Would agree mostly, although I would say that Jeff has almost always had the POTENTIAL to go further, but typically hasn't. In watching them at the Jeff-Harrison game, they have a bigger line than they've had in the past and they have a couple of really good players in Vanostran, on offense, and Aytch, on defense. They also have a shorter scat back ... he's actually a running back, but moves like a scat back ... I think it might be Adkins or maybe Fernandez. Man that kid can fly when they get him on the outside. I think part of what's getting the attention is that they are now down in 5A vs. 6A. For me, seeing them every year, the main thing I see that's different about them is the line size. I mean, if we go back to the Maximums Grimes years, there was lots of talent on those teams that should have gone far, but realistically Jeff, like just about most of the bottom 16 in 6A was destined to bow out early. Again, I think a really big part of why there's the perception of something different is decently attributable to their odds in 5A vs. their odds in 6A when they were there. Again, they have talent this year and the line size seems bigger, but having followed Jeff for a quarter century, I think the teams of the last decade, since Moore turned things around and Shanley has kept them turned around, have all had the potential. Perhaps this year's team may have a little different feel to them, again, I think it's the line that's the factor, but I'm not sure I think it's a big enough item to take them into a pound-for-pound top 5 ranking.1 point

Let's say two schools have the same enrollment. School A has 8% of their students who are qualified for a free lunch. At School B, that number is 45%. Does school A have an advantage? We see how Suburban America pretty much dominates everything. Perhaps there's a correlation?1 point

One last thing. I'm glad to see Mark Zackery still getting some meaningful minutes and playing pretty well!1 point

I agree wholeheartedly! Here' what he told the press after the game> What Marcus Freeman Said After Notre Dame Obliterated Arkansas1 point

Once again, can’t really argue. Not ranking a sub .500 team though. Lets take Merrillville out of it for now. BD/Zionsville straight up…who ya got?1 point

every single loss of BD is to a ranked opponent, and Merrillville doesn't have a single quality win. Swap their schedules and their records will swap identically, though the losses Merrillville would suffer would be more pronounced1 point

Curious where they stack up overall since this report only measures the percentage increase over time.1 point

I wasn’t in favor of bringing in a transfer, but I’m not sure Notre Dame plays for the championship, or even makes the playoff, with Angeli. The receivers weren’t as good last year, and the offensive line was much better in the run game than in pass protection. Angeli was sacked on about 14 percent of his dropbacks and Leonard was sacked on about 5 percent of his. Not to mention that, while Angeli led a needed scoring drive against Penn State, we’re a lucky bounce away from that strip sack being PSU ball around the 50 with a little over a minute in the first half trailing 10-0. None of that is to say Angeli is bad, clearly he’s not, but I think the staff was correct that he wasn’t going to be the right QB to get the most out of the offense last year.1 point

LOL. I stated that Michigan was development U on the defensive side of the ball and cited Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant’s high school recruiting rankings in relation to their NFL draft selection… Compared it to Curry and you got all butt hurt. Curry is a next level talent for sure but doesn’t change the facts. You really should seek out therapy with the amount of attempted “gotcha” posts you swing and miss on because of your dislike for me.1 point

Good response by the Illini at home to beat USC. Some pundits downplayed IU’s throttling of Illinois last week by saying the Illini were overrated. Perhaps a little, but their win over USC yesterday is a plus for IU.1 point

The whole incident that occurred before the season completely derailed the season. No excuse, but 19 players, many of them starters is just too much to overcome. No doubt that Snider will bounce back, but it is a rough watch right now1 point

I’ve been away for a while. 41 pass attempts for HH? 47 rush attempts for GS? did someone find a glitch in the simulation?1 point

Well, I've finally crawled out of bed and I'm ready to face the noon to midnight college football day. Last night was one of those games that those who stayed to the end with remember for a long time, if not forever. It seems the Irish have finally found their offense, but four turnovers, 3 fumbles lost and a pick six interception have to be taken care of. That's not going to win most games. And the Irish had at least three scoring chances that they didn't complete. Also, the game didn't end at the end of the third quarter, but the Irish played very conservatively, even going three and out with about 3 minutes left. But a last second win on homecoming night is always good!1 point
