I usually don't challenge complete bunk remarks, but I'm going to here. "New Pal has played nobody," has been uttered for the last dozen years. In the Kyle Ralph era, New Pal's non-conference opponents have been Kokomo, Decatur Central, Westfield, Brebeuf, Center Grove, Whiteland, Lawrenceburg, Danville and Richmond. All but one of those programs have been playing on Thanksgiving weekend in the last decade. East Central and Roncalli are confirmed for next season. NP faced a down Kokomo team this year (but when that game was scheduled, Kokomo was coming off a semistate appearance and had a lot of talent coming back), but then beat a 6A sectional champ in Decatur Central (on the road) the next week. Also beat two Sagarin Top-30 teams in Yorktown & Pendleton Heights. The "they don't play anyone" crowd won't be satisfied unless 1991 Ben Davis and 2006 Warren Central show up on their schedules. It's largely based on jealousy. I hear the same, "well, let's see how they'd do against a 6A schedule." They don't need to play a 6A schedule, although they've played five eventual 6A sectional champions since 2018, and beaten four of them. Also ... I've been around New Pal football for more than 25 years. All I've heard is "this freshman class has some talented kids." Nobody has said anything about them being "best in the state," because freshman ball is freshman ball and it's ultimately to help prepare for Friday nights. I think you're putting words in Coach's mouth, because he's not going to pump up a group that hasn't played a varsity game. Results in freshman games mean nothing on Friday nights because *those kids aren't playing*. (And I didn't know a two-TD spread was "dismantling").4 points

nothing against Penn in the slightest but i need them to lose to Carroll here that way CP will have lost to penn, who lost to Carroll, who lost to westfield, who lost to brownsburg. and then someone will still rank CP second or third next year.3 points

Stinky, Stink, Stink 1.2..3... a few things go with "3" kinda like 23! 23 Titles for the Stink Town Ballers you see Just excited to host a home game, it's been a few weeks! The Cascade Cadets come to town on an undefeated streak Really the only thing the Clown wants to know, do you all drink? The Jungle will be rocking and very saucy with an 8 PM kick. We invite all the Lil Cadets to come experience a little STC pre-game mix! Don't know much about the Cadets, but you can bet...... Tiger Fire, North American Tequila, and BL's will be a hit!2 points

I will forever agree with this. As long as the tournament remains "random draw", efforts should be made to neutralize any homefield advantage.2 points

Cooper's footwork was worthy of being like a ballet dancer, maybe even a ballet dancer would be impressed. It was so athletic that it defied nature. I saw him play in high school and knew he was good, but that catch just wasn't good, it was a miracle and a season saver! It's a mark of a great team to come back under those circumstances!2 points

Hobart comes to South Bend with a 10-2 record. The won the sectional by averaging over 40 points a game. The beat Lowell handily in the sectional championship after losing to them in the regular season. The Brickies D was good now it seems the offense is catching up. St, Joe won what many call the toughest 4A sectional in the state beating Mishawaka. The Huskies D has carried them this year as the offense has navigated through a litany of injuries. The defense has to play like they did against Mishawaka, Both teams played New Prairie (comparing scores just for a common opponent) Hobart won 50-14 St Joe won 43-13 Regional Championship on the line at Fr. Bly Field Friday night.1 point

I have seen Penn in action. Their aerial attack can hit you from different people not just one primary. You may try to take their big name out of the game but there are others. Their QB is good size and they have the typical tough running backs.1 point

I hate when I hear that teams are on a mission . At this point in the season , every team is on a mission so to speak .1 point

Northrop was loaded with athletes too. Didn't exactly make them a great team. Not sure what "was" and "was" has to do with now. Decatur Central is a very good program and are having a great season. They're the smallest school in 6A. I agree that Friday nights outcome will not change their perception. They're as good as anyone in their weight class. Kudos to them.1 point

Should be a good one at Freed Field . Carroll has played the tougher schedule with the 2 Indy bubble teams . Both teams have in my opinion D1 level wide receivers . Which QB can sling it better ? Which defense will hold up better ? Can Penn find a reliable long snapper ? Can't believe I actually agree with Temp on something , but I as well have Carroll slightly favored . As we all know , anything can happen come Friday night though .1 point

Agreed on the home games. My opinion is that all games should be played on campus until the semi-finals that way the top 4 seeds get a home game as a reward as well1 point

Fun game to watch this morning: fortunate that Warren was looking on that hot pass and great catch on that one...close to disaster. JT is MVP of the league if you ask me , not the Vegas leader Drake Maye however.....QB....ya know....1 point

Lol, you're old. Your hearing and eyesight are probably too far off to determine which team hits the hardest.1 point

Haven't heard yet...I would think so. If they don't have anyone who wants to pay, we can just do what we did at all our home games.1 point

I think you left out Oregon. Also at the time IU played Illinois, the Illini were ranked 9th.1 point

Agree about passing on chip shot FG's for sure points. Good eyes on the Warren block that sprung JT for the winning TD. Warren was lined up as a FB and led the way. Warren grades well as a blocker and he is getting better and better. Hope you find your phone...no luck with the Find my Phone app?1 point

Maybe you should check out IU's schedule. Iowa and Penn State, wer their marquee games to date, with Purdue at the end. Notre Dame is circled on each opponent's schedule for some reason, because it's still a big time win for them. Whether it's Navy or Boston College, they always play above their perceived levels against the Irish. And at one time, Texas A&M and Miami were both top five rated teams, and A&M still is. Losing by a total of four points isn't a non qualifier for the Irish, imho.1 point

My last regular season game was in 2006, against UCLA. It ended with Brady Quinn and Jeff Smardjia teaming up on a winning TD with 26 seconds left. We had seats next to the ND tunnel, and NBC interviewed the winning duo in the end zone near the tunnel. After the TV interview, the two high fived everyone on our side of the tunnel, including myself and my buddy, Charlie! It was a good day for the Irish!1 point

I've been lucky enough to have seen about a dozen Notre Dame/Navy games at the Stadium! It's an emotional sight for sure! I'm still quite surprised that the Irish covered the 30.5 spread! I didn't realize that Navy's QB was out until gametime, but his replacement played well the first half. The Irish defensive coaches made the necessary adjustments at halftime. And the ND offense is tremendous at this point. Jeremiyah Love has to be mentioned as a Heisman candidate, and maybe even get an invite to NYC. I understand he's not a QB, but he makes Carr's job a whole lot easier. And Jardarian Price ain't too bad either, quite a tandem!1 point

It was cool too to hear so much of the crowd at the end join in with Beat Army. I was not there, but you could clearly hear it on TV.1 point

I think the computers might be wrong on how interesting the Cascade Lawrenceburg matchup is. I haven’t seen Cascade but I know better than to bet against Lawrenceburg.1 point

I've always said that the best thing about HS football is grown men (or women) arguing and talking trash about teenagers playing football on an anonymous online forum... Looking forward to the matchup of unbeatens to see who gets to take on Andrean in semistate.1 point

My first time seeing either team. First time even going to Jasper for a game. That 3rd Q drive with 4 15 yd penalties on Jasper was something. Haha. Just an unraveling. I like their offense. Goldsberry was awesome. Size and moxie gave me Baker Mayfield vibes. Good luck rest of tourny. Linton/Brownstown next week for me.1 point

I was so caught up in the play itself and really did not hear this. But what a moment made for THE Gus Johnson. So often, I think he tries to hard to make a good play into something more. But not THIS one. Omar Cooper's draft stock climbs high with this game. https://x.com/CFBONFOX/status/1987256102262874620?s=201 point
