  1. I'm not sure what your definition of "has nothing for BC" is, but that's a strong statement! Granted, Linton is a little banged up & they lack the depth of several past seasons, but they'll still have some darn good 2A players on the field. Linton will be by far the best team BC has faced all season. The Miners on the other hand, have played at least two, maybe three teams better than BC. This one will likely be within the margin of error. Anyone expecting a walk in the park for BC is kidding themselves.

  2. I have come around on the steps Penn has taken. I have dogged Penn hard for their decision making in the last few seasons. Lack of faith in the administration to put a staff together that actually wants to win a state title. I think Penn has a long way to go, but I am much more encouraged by the way these players are performing under this staff than teams did in the past. We all know that Penn would have folded after that first play, against CP and the first quarter vs Mishawaka, in years past. This team has been punched hard in the mouth and rebounded quickly. I will still try to remain as fair as possible when it comes to expectations, but I believe that Penn has firmly taken a step in the right direction this year. Even if Carroll comes out and wins this game soundly. Penn is back on the right path. Go Kingsmen! The missed PAT will solely be on the snap or the hold. I don't remember the last time this kicker missed a PAT. But, I love the way you think...Redemption tour continues.

  6. GS has benefited little from Toyota....haven't we been through this? In fact, the TIF disctrict created for them litterally siphoned dollars from the School Corp, Township, Fire Territory and Library. All that said....Martinsville is about to take a beat down.

  7. If im not mistaken at least two contributors of that RP team were at SV last year. One of which is Lane Griffin who I think is one of the top lineman in the conference.

  8. It's been a blast! Appreciate ole @temptation for setting it up! Hopefully my Penn pick isn't the "kiss of death" for the Kingsmen. Lol

  10. WR...... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Insert TE!!!!! 🙂 Literally 7 OL, 2 TEs most times, sometimes 8 OL and 1 TE, then an H back or WING to go with that 9-10 man front, sometimes another Back with Myles in the backfield ZERO WRs. But the notion you statement is very accurate: I said it the congratulations thread on breaking record..... His OL is outstanding and many of them are UNDERCLASSMEN

  13. Personal fouls are not automatic first downs. The only automatic first downs under NFHS rules are roughing the snapper, holder, kicker, quarterback. A horse-collar tackle is when the inside back or side collar, or the name plate area is pulled backwards or sideward to the ground. Thank you for listening to my RefTalk.

  15. Such poetic justice for a program who seriously considered not taking the field against Michigan in 2023 citing "safety concerns" due to Michigan players "knowing signals ahead of time", then choosing to huddle and have calls run in from the sideline before losing 49-0. Poverty program.

  17. A 3 headed rushing attack... A QB that has thrown for almost 1800 yards, 28 TDs and 0 Ints. Also about 10 seconds in-between plays offensively. A defense that swarms and plays downhill. Arguably their best defensive player is a sophomore.

  19. Seen them once live. QB Clark does a nice job for them for a soph. Decent size, throws it pretty well—doesn’t seem all that mobile, but he will bootleg or draw for consistent yardage. Doesn’t mind taking a hit. One really nice receiver in Ramey. Thought their lines were not very athletic. The only rushing yardage they got all night was what Clark made largely on his own—backs had no running lanes. DB’s can get beaten deep.

  20. He was at the southwest corner of the endzone in a black ball cap, black hoodie, and black vest. One of his younger sons was with him. I saw him when I talked to Coach Yeoman for a bit.

  21. Yep. Nobody is happy with how that went down. Still a chance that both South Putnam and Providence move up next year.

  22. This game intrigues me just as last week's Crown Point/Penn tilt did. The team with prestige and history trying to prove its in the process of revitalizing itself versus the up and comer that has tasted success and wants to get back to downtown Indy for another shot at it.

  23. Average season for the WRC. I'd like to think it will be a lot more competitive next year. Front runner for the WRC crown in 2026 will be the Mustangs with the Panthers chasing right behind them.

  24. Honestly, if Taylor keeps this up and DOESN'T win MVP they may as well just rename the award... it would be a slap in the face to anyone who actually pays half a millimeter of attention to football... The Colts continue to be an unbelievably pleasant surprise. Honestly, I thought the ceiling for this team was about 10-7, now it looks like they will be more in the neighborhood of 12-5, maybe 13-4...

  25. I think ND is deep enough at QB and RB to still make a push in the playoffs if there were an injury at those positions.
