  1. https://www.indystar.com/story/weather/2019/07/16/indianapolis-weather-heat-index-could-reach-110-degrees-weekend/1746044001/ Be careful out there for the next few days everybody. And consider this option if your vehicle A/C isn't cutting the mustard:

  2. Yes we lost Superman and sandman but tigers have a lot coming back. Love this team and how they have looked this summer. Pence would have started for any team in the Tri state last year besides Central and Memorial (Obviously) . Kid is good. Don’t over look Brock Combs and our defense! Finn MCcool player of the year in the SIAC but again I’m bias! Lol. #FTF

  6. We worked on the security office at Morgan Foods a few years back. I would have to check in at a temp trailer to get my visitor pass to be on-site. I was somewhat shocked at the number of truck drivers I encountered who: A: Spoke little or no English B: I know people who've gone thru the CDL class and have heard stories about how difficult it is, there is NO WAY most of those guys passed the same test. 😄 It literally scared me to think I'm on the same road as these people and they're driving a massive 80K pound vehicle. People in general aside from being distracted are inconsiderate as hell on the road. Put your phone down, pay attention to what's going on around you. And for the love of god, if you're not passing GET OUT OF THE LEFT LANE!

  7. The common response is the “what about...?” game. So the mindset is, that multiple wrongs make it ok? So what is the limit to it then? Cheating on 3 wives wasn’t it. Grabbing women by the pussy was not it. Making fun of a disabled journalist was not it. Calling less than a handful of minority athletes sons of bitches was not it. Being caught in countless lies about what he did or did not say, even with video and/or audio evidence is not it. Saying American citizens should go back to where they came from is not it. I also guess the number of times he has stated he could issue an executive order to do something, even though it would have been in violation of the Constitution is ok too? Thanks for proving my point. As I said, it is unfortunate that anything he says or does will be defended.

  8. There are times when some things that are done or said are just indefensible. I am no fan at all of the four woman and their politics that are the target, but I do feel it is unfortunate to see the President being defended here. There is no question whatsoever who the targets were, and to push the notion that no names were mentioned is sad, to be bluntly honest. No matter our differences, I have always felt there is a reasonable level of intelligence among posters here. Sure we go to highly partisan posts from time to time. But to defend a President telling people to go back to their own countries no matter the context, shows that a point is reached where there is absolutely nothing he can do wrong; and that anything he does or says will be defended.

  11. I know talking with Mr. Condry at All Star game, he was bummed out that his book went to print before the announcement of sectional and class change. I told him don't sweat it at all, the product is still TOP NOTCH and a must each and every year. Cheers to another amazing publication by Mr. Condry and his staff. A real partner to Indiana High School Football

  17. But I don't logically understand, if you actually read what Mr. Trump has stated in many, many tweets, statements, stump speeches, etc. how one could objectively believe their isn't at least hints of "any of those words". Just like there are at least hints of "any of those words" by certain members of the "AOC squad" or whatever they are called.

  20. On a national level, there are excuse makers, I will not deny that. But in many of the instances you mention, there was plenty of criticism. As far as Benghazi goes, no excuses. I will say one person who gets little to no blame in it....Trey Gowdy. He and the people he had on the investigation completely f’ed it up. As far as the President lying about his relationship, there were plenty across the spectrum that were critical. Maybe you forgot he was impeached? As far as the rookie congresswoman, you must have ignored the backlash she got from many in her own party? Clinton’s connection to Epstein is undeniable, and I am willing to wait and see what the investigation turns up. No doubt the Clinton’s took cover ups to a new level. So to say that actions are being painted over is disingenuous at best. I am not looking for or taking any moral high ground here at all, but at some point, I will even call out my friends and family for things they say or do. Having only 4 people on the R side in the house vote to condemn the latest comments is a telling, and sad sign. To see the what about game, or to say he gets a pass based on what others have done is sad too. Multiple wrongs do not make what he does ok, or even right.

  30. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics (2005), in 2003 there were 75,573 cases disposed of in federal district court by trial or plea. Of these, about 95 percent were disposed of by a guilty plea (Pastore and Maguire, 2003). While there are no exact estimates of the proportion of cases that are resolved through plea bargaining, scholars estimate that about 90 to 95 percent of both federal and state court cases are resolved through this process (Bureau of Justice Statistics, 2005; Flanagan and Maguire, 1990). https://www.bja.gov/Publications/PleaBargainingResearchSummary.pdf That is our current state and federal "justice" system. Pile on the charges, whether truly substantiated or not, in order to frighten and demoralize the defendant. Then plea bargain down to the one or two charges that may actually stick.

  36. Bernie Sanders Thinks Medicare for All Could Cost $40 Trillion: https://reason.com/2019/07/17/bernie-sanders-medicare-for-all-cost-40-trillion-obamacare-single-payer/ I have an in-law who recently fell, and although not life threatening, seriously injured his leg. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital around noon on a Friday, was admitted, then had surgery that same evening to repair the damage. He was released from the hospital the next day. I'm sorry, I just don't see this timeliness and quality of care happening under a government health care system. Under such a system he possibly would have had to wait to have surgery the following morning, or because it was the weekend, as long as Monday morning.
