  1. You might not be that boy named Cody but you had the same English teacher. I swear to God you did! I gotta go

  2. "Exposure" 7 on 7 culture. If you have been to any of these events, this over-the-top celebration is encouraged and even videoed for social media. After all, the name of the game is "exposure" at all costs. Do whatever it takes to get views. The adults the kids pay to play on these 7 on 7 teams create an environment conducive to this type of behavior and they are unapologetic for it, I mean we want the kids to have "fun" right??

  3. Rule 7-2-2 has been in the rulebook forever. Nothing new here. “The players on each side of and next to the snapper may lock legs with the snapper, but any other A lineman must have each foot outside the closest foot of the player next to him at the snap.” The only restriction on interlocking legs is at the snap. Once the ball is snapped, there are no such restrictions. There is a rule against “interlocked blocking,” but it does not included interlocked feet.

  4. Those are the only three that I can think of. LCC probably came closest of those that didn't; dropping a 17-14 semi-state game on the road to eventual 2A champ RCHS back in 2014.

  5. Jaylon probably at 53 due to being at Luers, if he was at any of the bigger schools he would be top 20- 30?? Dunbar could be too low, looked like a lot of RB's above him played in 1950 or before, but I tend to agree with your statement. I do agree with #1 though. Maybe that is the quality of the education der in da region.

  7. So, roughly 1400 in 1982. Around 2000 in 2000. 2800 in 2023. Gained 600 students between 1982-2000, or a 42% increase. Gained 800 students between 2000-2023, another 40% increase. Semantics. My statement regarding Moore’s timing still reigns true.

  10. The North South All Star game since it inception is a representative game to highlight our state players and coaches from all classes and corners of the state. D1 or not, that has always been the case, for some fans with D1 not participating the last 10 years ish, it has lost its luster for them, but for communities and coaches it really means alot, so I prefer to focus on that and believe that last nights actions by a few isn't going to tarnish the concept and event in the future

  11. LOL... 1. On the first page of this thread you said your kid plays for Portage 2. It's clear the hype surrounding Crown Point and VAlpo winning state has really rubbed you the wrong way, which is what I would expect from Parkhurst. As well as flipping losses into moral victories making outlandish claims such as the Merrillville Regional game will be the State Championship and that Michigan City, under a new coach, is going to take Valpo out. You be you man. Please don't ever change.

  12. For those who have not heard, my family and I have decided that the time is right for a change. My wife has wanted to live in Florida for quite some time, but I have always had an excuse of why to not make the move. My son graduated in May, and with that a lot of those reasons disappeared. That being said, I am leaving Roncalli after 23 years. We are in the process of moving to Cape Coral, Florida and I will start teaching and coaching at Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda. My time in Indy was phenomenal - both the experiences and the people that I have had the honor to be associated with. I truly hope that I have left things at Roncalli in a better position than when I arrived and have had a positive impact on all in the football community! Keep making Indiana football better - always raise the bar, never lower it! Coach Stryker
