  1. It was started 2 weeks ago because it was announced at that time the game was being moved from Arlington to Butler and @PHJIrish was informing of the change right after it was announced.

  2. Greenwood Christian also has a week 9 opening. Linton/Lutheran and GCA/Phalen would be a better fit for all four teams. Linton will beat Phalen 63-0.

  3. Was a shame because Linton was open week 9 and picked up Phalen Academy. We talked about this already in another thread but linton/Lutheran wouldve been better for both schools

  4. OL. Fisher made a young inexperienced OL look decent. Fisher is a DUDE. He would be an FCS or possibly FBS QB if baseball wasn’t his top priority. 6’3 205 pounds and very athletic. Reminded me of Lindauer when teams thought they had him sacked or pressured. He avoided pressure and looked great on the move with eyes downfield the entire time. Big arm and could throw from any angle. He will be a problem in the 3A tournament next year. side note. #4 should get a refund from his QB coach in Chicago.

  5. You’re not missing anything. Under ordinary timing, the game clock starts on the snap after a delay penalty is accepted. But not under Mercy Rule timing.

  6. Looks like a solid list of great teams to me. Nice job. Good luck to all in sectionals coming up in 2 weeks.!!

  7. The South JV team moved to 7-0 with a 62-0 win over Brebeuf Jesuit. No frosh game and their season may be over with at a record of 5-0-1 with the season opening 14-14 tie with Col. East being the only "blemish" on their record.

  8. That could be true and that is a legit observation, but.....................HSE beat Noblesville by three touchdowns where Carroll played the Royals even with the difference being two pick-6's for touchdowns. Snider beat Carroll (very even game to be fair). Snider waxed WC who almost beat Ben Davis and Carmel. Where is the end to this? You just have to go by your gut and what you see on the field when forming an opinion poll. I've always been a fan of Penn doing well for the north, not the mention the respect the Carroll and Snider contingents have for their program. But outside of the Valpo win, some of the other scores make me wonder if they are a Top 15 team. Top 20 for sure.

  9. It sure feels like it. But in the blink of an eye, the regular season is over, and then teams start turning in equipment the following week.

  10. In the 1st half, Jasper and North had a some costly mistakes, but the cats, down 21-7, cleaned theirs up and the scored scored late in the 2nd quarter to tie. The cats D came up big the 2nd half, and North continued to make some costly mistakes. North, balancing the run with passing, ran over the cats the 1st quarter, despite a turnover. After the cats D figured out the North passing game, they also slowed their run game, and was able to put a lot of pressure on the QB. Cats D 2nd half was outstanding. Best 3 quarters cats played in a long time.

  11. Is 42 enough for @Footballking16?

  12. Happy to report that Cathedral has two new Holy Cross brothers teaching at the school this year (and both math teachers)! It is no coincidence that Roncalli's downfall has correlated with Center Grove's rise. Roncalli doesn't have unlimited access to the southside stable anymore. Hoping they can find their mojo soon. The rivalry is a rivalry when Roncalli is competitive. Congrats on retaining the bell, Irish!

  13. Good game Seal, VL definitely has young guys that are going to step up big time when the time comes. I thought McCormick had a very good game tonight. And that VL defense was very stout too. Our defense played very well tonight also, pretty sure Broshears had 18-20 tackles from this game. Offensively, there is a whole lot to work on for the Tigers.

  14. Business as usual as regards any Sectional containing Chatard. Its what the IHSAA does. To be clear, if Brebeuf were still in 3A they would absolutely be in this Sectional as well (since all Catholic schools within 2 hours of one another must be in the same Sectional). State Law....lest @Donnie Baker disapproves. He is the authority here.
