  1. You are literally the only person that I have heard that doesn't like the new name.

  2. They LEFT the Sagamore... They made the choice. If they would have voted to kick out the other 3 then they would have kept the name. It's not rocket science, Muda.

  3. I can’t even relate to a team that hasn’t won a national title in 36 years anymore. Michigan hasn’t won one in 46…DAYS.

  4. That will never happen.

  5. A deal with an Adidas designer 2 schools were picked to feature them Miami also wore them as well , Yes not a good look the designer did post a video of the Cream colored alternates he preferred but I can't imagine you will see anything similar the rest of the year. Woodson even voiced his displeasure of them on the radio Monday night.

  6. In theory...maybe. In practice, No. One of the primary reasons that, while the Holy fathers "say" they are a premier national program, all they are really trying to be is the best version of the Standfords and Northwesterns. If you want to beat B1G and SEC premier teams...you need to recruit and accept the same players they are recruiting and accepting.

  7. Also from Google Gemini: Why would Gemini be so anti-white? Well:

  8. I can’t take credit … if I was correct. I stole it from a post by @temptation, who posted that ND’s “ceiling” under the new plan was #5. Since he is the clearinghouse for all things potentially negative about Notre Dame, I trust his interpretation. 😉

  9. Strong choice, I like it.

  10. As a Crawfordsville alum, this is really exciting! Paying homage to the Monon Line and able to capitalize on the idea of MACtion (as the poster above highlights) is brilliant!

  13. So, the new college football 12 team playoff is in place. Jack Swarbrick (on his way out the door in a few months) was one of the unanimous votes for the plan. Under the new format, even if ND is ranked in the Top 4 at the end of the regular season, the highest they can be seeded is #5, meaning they have to win 4 playoff games to win the natty. If this comes back to bite them (they have to get to the Top 4 first), the inevitable result will be an even louder outcry for the Irish to join a conference. They’ve always said a few things would have to happen for ND to reconsider its position on conference affiliation. One of them is if independent status was a formidable obstacle to competing for a championship. This might be it.

  15. Why does it need to be closed? If/when any additional information comes out about the situation (as reported by a news source and not a rumor), could/would that not be able to be discussed here?

  16. IHSAA make these changes now: 1. Adjust brackets to 32 in 6A and 1A, then split 5A - 2A with 61-64 schools in each. 2. Seed the Sectionals. Either complete seed or I’d be happy with seed top 2 and blind draw on the others as someone suggested earlier. 3. Neutral Site Semi State games 4. Keep LOS as home for all Championship games. Thats all. Too much to ask?

  17. As the father of a 17-year old girl, I can say that is something that should NEVER be done, regardless of the context.

  18. When I posted this last week (and it was removed) I was told that I had a problem with Barron. The entire process of hiding facts and not letting people have opinions is a joke. As a father of a teenage girl I know that if any "teacher" slapped my daughter on the butt I would be going for his head. Since he is a football coach and a good ole boy we will just let him get away with it. The girl is the victim not John Barron!

  19. And as I have said that was the wrong decision. Now we have this frankly stupid conference name, named after a defunct railroad line. Really?
