  1. You guys also seem to be under the impression that principals give two shits about seeding. Certainly some do, but for the masses, nobody cares. And make no mistake it is the principals who pull the weight, not the AD’s.

  2. With the recent seeding proposal shot down quicker than ...well I can't come up with anything "catchy" - but anyway, with it being shot down it got me wondering. The NFL/NBA commissioner has to answer to the owners of the league. Who does the IHSAA "brass/higher ups/executive committees" quote/unquote have to "answer to??" Like...who hires these positions? And...who/do they have bosses to answer to? The IFCA presents a proposal for seeding...the IHSAA just says "NOPE"...and that is it?? The IHSAA decides they are going to do this new 1A-4A classification thing for non-football sports...and they viola - it happens! Meanwhile, their is a big contingent that thinks it would be a better idea in football to have the biggest 32 in 6A...smallest 32 in 1A, then rest split evenly...but the IHSSA says - NOPE!! I will admit I am ignorant on the whole deal so there may be an easy answer to this...but sometimes it just seems to me like the IHSAA higher ups are like the almighty OZ.

  4. Last year he had sons playing for Lake Central and Portage. Guy needs to stick with one story and ride it out.

  5. I am not even talking about "HIS" rankings. I am talking about "HIM" posing as a mother of football players.

  7. Currently on the Region Sports board he's on one thread posing as three different people having conversations with himself.

  8. I actually heard that, upon the announcement that Faith Christian was going to go to 11-man this season, some 20-25 players from the LCC football team became Baptists and will be attending Faith in the fall. Lord, I apologize for that there.

  9. We're talking about how good the 6A team is that got beat by 5A Warsaw. It qualifies :).

  10. Yes, he's the #51 ranked quarterback in the class of 2025. Those four pick 6's came at the hands of two of the best teams in the state. He threw three interceptions the rest of the season. Ironically, two of those pick 6's came from a fellow Iowa recruit. They square off again in Week 5.

  11. The IHSAA works for the member schools. The Executive staff of the IHSAA runs the organization on a daily basis. That staff answers to the executive committee which is made up of roughly 20 members from across the state. The ExCom is made up of administrators at local districts who speak on behalf the remainder of the members representing a variety of size, geography, and type of school. They are elected at varying intervals by the member schools. And they in turn decide on hiring and firing of Executive Staff. The IHSAA does not take its cues from any coaching organizations, but they have shown the willingness to have conversations. In order to enact change you need to have a majority of the executive committee and executive staff on board, as they have proven to attempt to work together on concerns.

  14. Having 2 or 3 skill position D1 recruits that Merrillville couldn't poach isn't enough to put Hammond Morton in the Top 10. The 'Govs went 5-5 last year after 2 straight one win seasons. IMO, too premature to think they're even close to being a Top 10 team. East Central is probably too low. I know they lost their 2 best skill players. No idea what they have returning on their lines. But, I respect the program enough to believe they'll develop a legitimate 5A contender. They deserve Top 5 on name only.

  15. That would mean 16 of 32 (possible). Furthermore, mid pack "at best" would imply 16-24 (hardly). I've got Carroll in that 8-12 range. We'll never know. What we do know is that four through sixteen is a crapshoot. Carroll had a good football team. They could beat anyone not named Brownsburg, Ben Davis, or Center Grove on any given night. Unfortunately though, they'll be remembered for the Warsaw game and not the battles they had with Snider, Hamilton Southeastern, and Warren Central.

  16. IDK - Anyone else connecting the funds from the Obama administration released to Iran and the amount of sophisticated missiles they are throwing at Israel that the US is now aiding in the defense of? Probably nothing to be concerned about...... https://www.the-sun.com/news/11092635/israel-iran-missile-attack-catastrophic-escalation-war-middle-east/ Iran threatens ‘1,500 missile’ strike if Israel launches revenge attack as Middle East risks ‘uncontrollable war’ https://www.cbsnews.com/news/obama-administration-acknowledges-1-7-billion-transfer-to-iran-was-all-cash/ WASHINGTON D.C. -- The Obama administration is acknowledging its transfer of $1.7 billion to Iran earlier this yearwas made entirely in cash, using non-U.S. currency.

  17. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't see much room for Carmel to grow out much more. It's not like Zionsville, Noblesville, Westfield or Fishers/HSE. It's kind of locked in by those places.

  18. I can say crown point hit that transfer portal hard. Saw them in “spring” practice. They seem to have gotten a lot darker and a lot more athletic. They were running a full fledge scrimmage basically! Not to disagree but I think merrillville/Valpo are better than about half the Indy schools. I think if they had a weekly schedule with them people would be suprised to see them come out above .500.
