My bad, lest we never forget the Shoals Jug Rox although they don't play the sport of Kings...

Attica Red Ramblers, Clinton Prairie Gophers, Columbus East Olympians, Fort Wayne North Legends (so much for modesty), Manchester Squires, Northfield Norsemen, Scecina Crusaders (my aunt's alma mater), Southmont Mounties, and Sullivan Golden Arrows...

It has become apparent I have been disrespectful to many, so here are a few more:

Wabash Apaches, Crawfordsville Athenians, Penn Kingsmen, FW South Archers, South Adams Starfires, Kanakee Valley Kougars (with a K, one of my all-time faves), Lewis Cass Kings, Mooresville Pioneers, Winchester Golden Falcons, Rochester Zebras, Shelbyville Golden Bears, and Madison-Grant Argylls.

Not in the IHSAA, or are Slicers, Comets, and Lakers.

Carry on.

HAHA, This is a great list. You did great!

I know this is not Indiana, but there is a small town in West Virginia....the town of Poca

They are the Poca Dots.

If we are doing that then Freeport, Illinois.... Home of the Fighting Pretzels

Illinois has some good ones. Fighting pretzels are good, but the Hoopeston Cornjerkers takes the cake!

Oh no. I can imagine the teenage boys from other schools having a field day with that one.

If we did Illinois, we'd get taxed on it! Conversely, I can offer the Adams Central Flying Jets, Forest Park Rangers, Jimtown Jimmies, Mishawka Cavemen, Morton Governors, Perry Central Commodores, Plymouth Pilgrims (or Rockies), Tell City Marksmen, West Washington Senators, and Westfield Shamrocks.

Lunch was good--Italian sub...

With all due respect to Bulldogs, Devils (both red and blue) Indians, Patriots, Spartans, Tigers, Trojans, and Wildcats; here are a few that aren't nearly as common:

1. Andrean 59ers

2. Cloverdale Clovers

3. De Kalb Barons

4. Eastern (Pekin) Musketeers

5.  Paoli Rams

6. Pendleton Heights Arabians

7. Rensselaer Bombers

8.  Speedway Sparkplugs

9.  Vincennes Lincoln Alices

10.  Washington Hatches

Yeah, yeah: I know there are more out there, so don't go aggro Benton Central Bison, Muncie Bearcats, and North Judson Blue Jays, et al.

Read through this entire thread and a mascot that is not only the only one in Indiana but the only one anywhere, high school or college, The Madison-Grant Argylls.
Madison-Grant is a consolidation of the (James Dean's alma mater) Fairmount Quakers and Summitville Goblins.

I know this is for this time period, but one of the most unique names from the past was the Monroe City Blue Jeans.

That is most unique.

To go along with the Blue Jeans, we also have the Mitchell Bluejackets and Tipton Blue Devils.  A few more include the Clarksville Generals, Crawford County Wolfpack (or Woofpack of you asked Donnie Baker), and Franklin Central Flashes.   I would think North Central's handle of the Thunderbirds would be unique, only to share it with Eastern Greene, who is on their schedule...

And Northcentral Sullivan Tbirds.

A few more for you: the Concord Minutemen, Indianapolis Washington Continentals (as both keep the Revolutionary War theme alive.  Knox has decided to go the anti-PC route by hanging on to the Redskins moniker, while Goshen became the Redhawks.  Additionally, the Lakeland Lakers can be found in the northeast part of the state while Oak Hill's Golden Eagles honor one of the fastest birds in the world.  What say you, Winchester Golden Falcons?  Purdue Poly is known as the Techies while Union Mills, to my east, are the Satellites.

OK, so the list is starting to wane, but there are still some good ones out there that have gone unmentioned.  And as opposed to the ever-common Braves, Bulldogs, Cougars, Devils (both Blue and Red), Eagles, Panthers, Spartans, and Warriors--why not something more creative?  Personally, I'd go with the Warthogs, maybe the Yeti or Pitbulls.

The two strangest I've ever seen in-person are Martinsville Artesians and Herron Achaeans.

The Artesian on the way walking up to their field looks quite nice!
