Komets2727 Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 Cignetti has built this basically using the portal, gotta think with the success he has had so far recruiting should follow in line. Imagine if he can get that going as well… 1 Quote
PHJIrish Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 It's good to see IU taking football seriously! Lots of money to be make. A lot of difference in revenue from crowds of 30-35,000 to a sellout, 50,000+. And that's not just in ticket sales either. Hats and shirts are everywhere! 1 Quote

Cig is pushing a stadium capacity increase with a 2nd deck on the visitor's side (side next to Assembly Hall) and a new modern press box. He will get it. The school needs to figure out parking. Parking currently can cost more than the game ticket. 2 Quote

Komets2727 Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 IU 38 - Michigan State 13, pretty easy win for the Hoosiers I guess. First 5 IU possessions, 5 TD’s. Defense was not stellar, though giving up 13 points is nothing to scoff at. MSU QB shredded the Hoosier defense thru the air, especially in the first half, but the defense tightened in the second half cresting more pressure on the QB. Mendoza was great as usual. He just makes it look easy. Best pure passer in the college game right now. Running game was average at best, needs to be more of a threat going forward. Receivers were really good as well. UCLA comes to Bloomington next week and they have won three in a row after an 0-4 start. 2 Quote
Bash Riprock Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 Indiana up to number 2 in both the AP and coaches poll with the Miami loss at home to Louisville this weekend. Georia Tech and Vandy also both in the top 10. https://www.idsnews.com/article/2025/10/indiana-football-ap-poll-number-2 https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/coaches-poll-top-25-miami-tumbles-as-vanderbilt-georgia-tech-rise-in-week-9-college-football-rankings/ 1 Quote

Agreed. It works against Sparty, won’t work against the Buckeyes. Very ironic to be saying things like this, I’ve lived my entire life until last year rooting for the little guy, now we are living a new reality and are the big guy much to the chagrin of teams we have leapfrogged… Quote
Komets2727 Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 Indiana is a 24.5 point favorite against UCLA. That seems to be a lot… Quote

Muda69 Posted October 21, 2025 Author Posted October 21, 2025 Sorry, bonuses for getting Coach of the Year awards is lame. But hey, all these guys are massive narcissists at some level so you have to stroke that ego (and their pocketbook). Quote
