Think they’d be a toss up vs Leurs.

AC would runaway with 2A as well.

Lutheran and AC definitely win 2A. AC beat bluffton 24-0 and Luers won 15-7. I think providence and South Putnam win 2A as well. Holding Lutheran to 21 and 14 points is an incredible accomplishment.

I was dead wrong on this one. Congrats to Luers and congrats to NP on a great season.

Not a great representation for Southern Indiana this weekend- but proud of the PAC none-the-less. Turns out those parochial schools are pretty tough.

I will say this:

1A was not good outside of Lutheran and Adams Central

2A is abysmal compared to any previous year you can think of

3A It was Chatard and nobody else

4A East Central, then a drop off to East Noble, Leo, and Northwood, nothing after that

5A Snider, Mishawaka, Valparaiso were the class of this division

6A Ben Davis, Brownsburg, Center Grove at the top then Crown Point, HSE, Westfield, and Penn

Unfortunately without seeding, the second best team is not always the loser in Lucas Oil.

South seemed stronger in 1A and 4A. 2A and 5A it was the north. However it’s all just opinion.

The disrespect to some of the teams in 2A, especially in the North, is quite laughable. Good news for Lutheran and AC, they can prove thed be able to walk through 2A the next two years.

It’s hardly disrespect when there are easy, direct comparisons

I don’t believe Lutheran and Adams Central would walk thru 2A this year. I think both would be tough to beat though. Neither of those teams, in my opinion, would beat Luers

I dont think Lutheran or ac are anywhere close to a lock to beat luers.

Though I'll concede this is an off year for 2a as a whole

I'll take lutheran and ac serious when they show up with a real schedule.

Until then ft wayne luers is everything they aspire to be.

What was worse in context: 5A last year or 2A this year?

With as much as you ripped 5A last year (justifiably), seems like 2A is getting off easy.

Luers beat NP 40-3

Heritage Hills beat NP 10-0

by your logic Luers is 30 points better than the 3A runner up that lost to Chatard by 28, does that mean Luers would be the clear 3A champ?

The transitive property doesnt apply to sports and its kinda cringe to claim that you'd clearly be the champ of a high division when you don't win your own. AC had an amazing season and has a ton to be proud of but this isn't a good look.

Well said. What most people don’t seem to understand is Luers plays up all year until the tourney. They play 3-4 6A teams, 2-3 5A teams, and the rest are 3 or 4A teams. They were beaten badly by East Noble and New Haven early in the year, both 4A teams, and lost by 3 points to 6A Homestead, who gave Snider their only loss.
