I think a "public" and a "private" pound for pound would be appropriate. Private would include Chatard, Cathedral, Luers & Roncalli or Dwenger?? I just posted this same thing like a second after you did, funny !!1 point

I think the private schools need a Mount Rushmore of their own. Chatard, Cathedral, Luers................Dwenger or Roncalli?1 point

That’s the Vegas line, which is a reflection of the money being bet on the game, not the relative strength of the teams. Sagarin has the Bucks as a 5 pt. favorite on a neutral field.1 point

Game was tight in the first half and Heritage Hills led 17-14 after the first quarter and 38-37 at halftime and took control in the 2nd half. Patriots scored the first 24 points of the 2nd half and outscored the Bears 32-3 in the 3rd quarter to increase their lead to 70-40 after 3 and the final score was Patriots 89 Bears 59. Patriots committed 17 fouls and the Bears 15 fouls. Patriots were 11 of 18 from the free throw line and the Bears 8 of 18. Heritage Hills scoring Sisley 23 Becher 21 Scherry 18 ( Scherry passed 700 career points tonight. ) Sigler 14 Johnson 8 ( first varsity points.) Kryzkowski 3 ( first varsity points.) Schaeffer 2 ( first varsity points.) Central scoring Banks 17 Windle 13 Brown 9 Madison 6 Byrd 5 Bosecker 3 Barnes 3 Morris 2 Joiner 1 How about the play of Cole Sigler tonight ? Just 8 days ago he was playing in the state football finals and just barely had enough practices to play tonight but I had him 5 out of 6 from the field including 3 out of 4 from 3 point range and hit his only free throw for 14 points1 point

Credit to Central for what they did in the 1st half. They shot lights out. Heritage Hills was not at all happy with its in work on defense and cranked things up after halftime, to the tune of a 24-0 run in just 4 minutes of game time.1 point

It's noteworthy that Wright was the only Mr Football position winner coming from a class below 5A.1 point

He turned down Reitz once since he has been at GS and might get the opportunity to do it again. He might leave one day....but I’ll betcha lunch it will never be for any team in the SIAC and will won’t have anything to do if he rents or owns his home.1 point

Committee got the 4 teams, and the seeding right. 8 teams would be WAY WAY too many, this year especially. Should be 3 really good games to settle the title. Don’t sleep on Clemson!1 point

Snider and Northrop were never combined. Snider was built in 1964, Northrop in 1971. Rod Woodson went to Snider and attended from 1979-1982 (I may be off a year). Snider doesn't have their own field because.............well, I've heard many things. Campus not big enough, not enough parking, drainage issues. I never knew what the real issue was. I know several years ago they had the plans and financing to build their own stadium off campus, but nearby neighbors fought and took it to court. That property now is home to government subsidized housing and IU Health. I mentioned Rod Smith in my earlier post...........he went to Harding and was a top 5 RB coming out of highs school. Drafted by Jim Tressel, misutilized by Urban Meyer.1 point

Even with this preemptive strike I'll put the over/under at 7 for people bitching about player X not being all state even though he was top 50.1 point

Once again, Indianapolis Colts is the best NFL franchise when it relates to how they treat, recognize Indiana High School Football across the state. Cheers to Coach Moriarity and Coach Hart : Well earned1 point

The Cowboys should be considered for contraction, the league is watered down with too many teams and the Cowboys consistently under perform. Those players are being put into a situation that is obviously dangerous to their mental and physical health. Plus the league would be better without Jerry...1 point

Thanks FPO! Very interesting! In a way it reminds me of the Fort Wayne Pistons of the NBA.1 point

To be fair at this point do we really as a state claim Curtis Painter. I know he had a solid career at Purdue, but it is still really hard to think about that year with the Colts.1 point

As far as Winamac goes QB.. Theyll return Russell Compton for his Jr year. Hes thrown for 2,461 yards in two seasons. Will be 3 year guy. Backfield. Senior Trent Fox ran over 700 yards as a junior and hell be a 3 year starter .They'll have a new fullback next year with junior Beau Brandt more than likely..he started on D this past yr. Their wingback will be Hayden Clark. He missed the last 7 games this past year. Hell be a junior. Will be a 3 year guy. Junior to be Shaun Pratt will be another kid in the mix. Wide Receivers Senior to be Brayden Lynch. He tied the school record for receptions in a year with 45. Junior to be Jaden Terry and Senior to be Cale Paseresi will be other dudes along with an incoming sophomore who didnt play last year due to injuries on 12/5/18 and an incoming freshman. Offensive line Theyll return Junior to bes Logan Schultz (6'6 278) and Kyle Olds (6'1 247) both will be 3 year starters. Olds missed the last 5 games last year.
