Head to IHSAAtv.org and select the game you'd wish to buy. You can do that now, in advance. You can also purchase an all access pass and watch all 6 games for $20. Here's a link to that opportunity: https://vcloud.blueframetech.com/purchase/accesspass/4826 For Comcast subscribers, be aware that the 6A game, played Friday night, will not air on the Bally or Bally Xtra channel due to a contractual relationships with the Pacers. Most fans find using an Amazon Fire Stick, Roku Device or Apple TV connected to their big TV and using a free app on those device's app stores the the best way to go. The on-line presentation is the exact tv telecast syndicated to IHSAAtv.org. Where does the money go? The IHSAA thru ticket sales and on-line profits are used for operations and supports the give back to schools. In fact, even including the Covid era, the IHSAA hands back over 2 million dollars to schools, which exceeds the amount they keep for operations...such has holding state championships. Are there any free webcast of the State? No. the IHSAA owns all tournament action. No live, free webcasts either via business entities or individuals are allowed.

Here is the issue I have brought up for years. While enrollment numbers may LOOK the same as far as a number on paper; they definitely are not the same. The focus is off for this discussion. It is not who is in those non public buildings, it is who is NOT in those building that the public schools with the same raw number do have in their buildings. As far as who is in each building, the potential numbers of players for non public schools is more on par with schools that are a class above and for some even 2 classes above.

I don’t mind my money going to the IHSAA, but I have problem with my money going to ticket company’s at 30% mark up.

Fair share…seriously? If we received the same number of kids from those areas as we did last year every year for the next 20 years we wouldn’t even approach the number quality student athletes our local P&P friends have gleaned from local corporations in my day. But that doesn’t bother me…transfers aren’t an issue to me…neither is “recruiting”. The problem is enrollment alone doesn’t work when comparing grossly dissimilar student populations. We all know it…but beating up year after year on schools with less homogeneous student populations is fun isn’t it, intoxicating, even addicting. Why are some of you frightened of competing on an even playing field? If the paying field was even we wouldn’t have these punitive systems like the success factor. Eventually one convinces oneself of all kinds of reasons for the success other than the truth. P&Ps win a disproportionate amount of championships than their number of state association schools would indicate in basically every state in the union. That’s why states try to find equitable ways to offset the difference in student population types as opposed to enrollment alone. No reasonably intelligent person believes enrollment alone is fair. Even privately educated ones.

Unfortunately we have no control over how good Sandy's Pizza is and how it can affect the SIAC/PAC dynamic in any given year. I'd just suggest getting better pizza joints.

The way I remember, they played for over 2 hours because they found out the day before they scored their first gold. Think they get a local band to open sice it was pretty much a free concert. A lot of good music came out of the Champaign/Chicago/Detroit arc. My first concert was KISS in 1976, and I was introduced to Bob Seger music that night, he opened for them.

I never owned a pair of parachute pants or Zubaz, but will admit to a couple of pair of Jams shorts. I can recall when tix hit $20, I thought the world was ending.

This statement is very tiresome. There isn't 2 million to choose from with Private schools you can stop with that there isn't even 1/4th of that. Aside from that the 1 Parochial School from Indy in the State Finals (Chatard) lists the elementary schools their players attended (there is a grand total of 2 that didn't attend a Catholic elementary school and one of them was a move in from out of state) so much for 2 million to choose from. That is pretty much BS banter from someone outside of Indianapolis and surrounding counties.
