Quick take on Prime, his situation is totally different than Cignetti. Prime is an idiot of epic proportions. That guy is a self promoter, cares nothing about his players beside his kid, throws his players under the bus to the media, and operates as if he is perfect and nothing is his fault. Cignetti made a few statements to ignite the apathetic IU fan base towards football and all he has done is win. What is the problem with this? Love the direction of IU football right now2 points

You added James Madison....not I..... SO I asked the same question as stated originally If Nick Saban stayed at Michigan St does he win National Title? If Jim Harbaugh stays at Stanford does he in win a national title? These great coaches had to go to what is known as Blue Blood Football programs to earn that distinction. It's a message board, where members engage with one another on various topics. In this case, Member Temptation, made clownish statements, in my opinion, as the opinion of others as well. This "HOT TAKE" has proven to be thus far FROZEN SOLID TAKE, and this has sparked conversation amongst MEMBERS , which is one of the key components of a MESSAGE BOARD where SPORTS are discussed. Its pretty simple So you have just admitted you spew nonsense because you enjoy being self anointed "most important guy here" award You can't have it both ways....... And for the record... you are no where NEAR or even in same atmosphere of DT, you are what we are call a pretender, not a contender. DT was HONEST in his assessments, conversations, you change to fit narratives you want, you post things for a reaction that you don't believe, that is what your statement above means. That is disappointing to me, but its cool, you do you Brah....... I personally have enjoyed the conversation back and forth on the topic of Coach Cig and his rise thus far, I have enjoyed the back and forth on it, it is OK to have a different opinion if its done with honest intentions, not to be some self proclaimed "HITS: count guy. Lame. Yawn.2 points

I don't see one of the big boys poaching a coach who is set to turn 64 before the start of next season. But that's my hope.2 points

Report from RP junior high game tonight. RP 38 SV 0. SV declined playing a B game allegedly citing weather conditions as it was too sunny and no clouds.1 point

DeBoer won 3 national titles in 5 years at NAIA Sioux Falls. There are great coaches at every level of football as Coach alluded. Sometimes the path to getting to the highest level takes longer for some than others. Cignetti and DeBoer are two examples of just absolute winners who haven't taken the path of least resistance to get where they are today. Coaches like Bo Ryan and John Beilein spent years in the D2/D3 ranks before succeeding at the highest level.1 point

I'd argue that every fan base has gracious fans and annoying ones. Sad that I want Michigan to lose because one Michigan guy is obnoxious on an Indiana lake. Sad that I can't stand Xavier basketball because of the way one fan was acting at Butler Fieldhouse. Sad that I root against Louisville because of one fans actions at Joyce Center........damn, almost called it Purcell. And not sad actually, I think the entire athletic department at Louisville is corrupt.1 point

Again, false statement. One FCS win over Western Illinois. FIU is a member of Conference USA, FBS.1 point

That's absolutely false...you referred to him as a clown repeatedly. This is all my fault....I simply mentioned "Someone" had been very quiet about IU this season. I should have known baiting a hook and casting it shallow waters, would pull you in. Unfortunately, you are a fish that talks way too much. That's on me for setting this in motion.1 point

My point was this: You have shrugged of Coach Cig accomplishments at Lower level schools and have said so far at IU proven nothing yet, and I am saying that there can only be 1 champion each year and if the standards for you is National Title or failure then a coach you love Jim Harbaugh would not have your respect if he stayed at Stanford.....he had to come to a blue blood (albeit his alma mater) to achieve that distinction. GREAT coaches are all around at ALL LEVELS, not being a national title winning coach shouldn't disqualify you as being GREAT. Finally, " SEC was cutting edge on what is now called NIL". What you meant to say was, SEC was the worse cheating conference when it came to paying players under the table. The next question is, are you okay with as you put it CUTTING EDGE SEC of the 90s' 00s, and yes Michigan and OSU had those Boosters as did EVERY blue blood program as done for DECADES.1 point

That is fair I also know that if you do ignore someone, you have the ability to click a button to "view" while still ignoring. I will say this, I was surprised that ND was able to rebound against Brohm Corp, however seems they got off to real slow start with gift points, it happens. Got tied up rest of my Saturday and missed the 2nd half. Questions I have for ND followers How has Kiser and Bowen been this year?1 point

Too big plus I can't imagine them wanting to be in a conference with Monrovia. Same with Shelbyville. Might be a good fit but would not want to be in same conference as Triton Central.1 point

I have no problem with your stance of opinion, I think it's wrong in the end but time will tell However, "attacked". Please. If you feel attacked then you're the classic can dish it but cry foul when it's thrown back or ...wait for it....dare challenges on an opinion Are we as a Community of sports fans not willing to have discourse in discussions without being so sensitive??1 point

Unfortunately, that doesn't completely hide him. It works if no one quotes him. Works quite nicely other than that.1 point

At this point I don't care, nothing to get worked up over. Just know that the IHSAA has tweaked the success factor twice in instances where Cathedral was set to move down a class. I don't believe it to be a coincidence.1 point

Calpreps has Columbia City at 31. I took the top 10 from 4A vs top 10 5A from Calpreps rankings through the projections on Calpreps. It was intriguing to say the least and we would never see the results. The projections give a Regular season and a playoff result and give you the percentage. There are a few pick-ems. Now these are not my picks just what came from the projection on Calpreps. Calpreps own projections are at 81.3% of all games played in Indiana so far. 1. Chatard Vs Concord = Chatard 87% Regular 90% Playoffs 2. New Palestine Vs East Central = New Pal 65% Regular East Central 57% Playoff 3. Roncalli Vs Decatur Central = Roncalli 53% Regular Decatur Central 53% Playoff 4. Martinsville Vs Merrillville = Martinsville 62% Regular 57% Playoff 5. Brebeuf Vs Laf Jeff =Brebeuf 73% Regular 60% Playoff 6. Mishawaka Vs Plainfield = Plainfield 53% Regular Mishawaka 53% Playoff 7. Columbia City Vs Castle = Columbia City 65% Regular 62% Playoff 8. East Noble Vs Whiteland = East Noble 59% Regular 65% Playoff 9. Leo Vs Valparaiso = Valparaiso 53% Regular Leo 53% Playoff 10. Northwood Vs Bloomington South = Bloomington South 61% Regular Northwood 53% Playoff1 point

You're missing the forest through the trees. The point is, he wins everywhere he goes. He builds up programs and leaves them in a better place than he found them. That's a lot harder than being hired at say Ohio State or a Michigan where you have built in advantages that already put you in the 99th percentile.1 point

We have been fortunate to have had a few players from Rensselaer get into some college coaching, one young man found himself tied in with Charlie Strong, Lville and Texas He came back to town we were talking one day, he swore up and down from his days as an Wabash All American to being in L'ville and Texas, that our staff was just as knowledgable coaching then anyone he has seen at his stops, the difference was who you know, and the fact that these guys get to work on their craft 80-100 hours a week and all that. He said Coach Strong had a good friend he Brought with him everywhere as a one the guys in the S&C program, he would just hang in the weight room all day and watch Netflix getting 6 figures....... Jason Simmons absolutely KNOWS offensive ball. that is not something that can be disputed in my opinion, as I have seen him in action, in chalk talks, etc. He played College ball at Miami OH, been around great HS programs and coaches and now working in this capacity. Rooting for my pal for selfish reasons (want Purdue not be the Purdue from last 5 weeks and all of last year) and for his own career1 point

There are only 32 6A schools, so a 5-1 team is probably going to be in the mix for the Top 10. In terms of 4A, New Pal & Martinsville are a pretty clear 1/2 right now, with both being unbeaten with some good wins. You can pretty much flip a coin between Chatard & Mishawaka at 3/4. Both have some good wins and their one loss is to an excellent team in a higher class. I had Mishawaka 3 and Chatard 4, but they're very close.1 point

Yeah I’m not going that far. I appreciate your confidence but it would probably be 42-7 at best. North isn’t just on another level. They’re on three other levels.1 point

No question NJ is just as advertised. Triton has a pretty stout run defense, but Judson was just methodical. Their first drive took 10 minutes to drive 80 yards for a score. From there Judson had short fields most of the night and took advantage of that. A couple of TDs passes to Wilcox shooting the gap. They really looked good. And Judson's starters got to play basically a full game, so that's good for them. The size of Triton's O-line was an issue. They just don't have the size to handle big boys. It showed up against Winamac and was very clear this week. Triton will be fine. They'll match up better with Pioneer and North Miami.1 point
