  2. You are correct, Churubusco would be a longshot to win 1A beacuse they're in 2A now.

  3. Nothing is as frightening as a left wind mob threatening you and your family. This is exactly the kind of thing that pushes people, even those who were supporters of Donald Trump, further to the right. If these people on the left believe that they have the right to treat us, their fellow Americans, with active contempt and threats of violence, then they should not be surprised when relatively moderate people become radicalized. They politicize everything, and demand compliance. These aren’t liberals anymore. They are soft totalitarians.

  4. In 6A probably a toss-up between Cathedral and Center Grove, or at least at this point? Irish QB Danny O'Neil crushed it in local workouts this spring, and as a result has been invited to camps at Alabama and Georgia in early June. He already took official visits to Notre Dame and Ohio State in April. This receiving mate Jaron Tibbs just received offer from Iowa last week with more to come. That duo could be ridiculously stupid this year especially with RB Carson Johnson returning and stud tight end @ 6'3" and 230 lbs with several D1 offers. While we did lose a lot on both lines, the explosive offense combinations might not make that matter too much this year.

  6. Although it comes close at times, this is not facebook or any other social media platform where saying whatever you want about a coach or kids; ESPECIALLY based on hearsay, is not acceptable.

  7. Maybe he sucks for the rest of his time at IU. Maybe not. Even if he does, he's still accomplished more at IU than probably any coach they've had since Mallory and I'm not convinced they can get anyone better any way. Just like Brohm, one or two bad seasons is not something a program like IU or Purdue can just find unacceptable. Neither one is a blue blood and both will be better not pretending they are. Allen didn't forget to coach between 2020 and 2021. He just didn't get as lucky, had more injury issues, and sounds like he made some poor hiring decisions. I said the same things about Brohm prior to last season. 2019 was a year that injuries hit Purdue hard. 2020 was a terrible hire at DC and some bad luck (see Minnesota offensive PI call to call back the game-winning TD)....not to mention Covid. Brohm was not a different coach than the guy who engineered the 2018 blowout of Ohio State. But that's not going to happen every season at Purdue just like 2020 was never going to repeat every year at IU. Given IU and Purdue's respective football histories, I think it wise for neither to pretend they are too good for the coach they currently have.

  8. He’s a Purdue fan hoping IU keeps Allen forever. It’s funny because I had the same thoughts about Brohm until this year. Things can change in an instant. I’m calling you out because your statement is completely unfounded. When and if Yanni becomes an All-American and a first round draft pick you can then say they are comparable players. Yanni needs to worry about getting on the field first however.

  9. I don't think a fair judgment can be made on Allen for at least another 6-8 years. Give him a fair chance to build the program.

  10. Yanni Karlaftis hasn’t played a down of collegiate football and will be lucky to crack the rotation this year as a RS Freshman. GK was not only a day 1 starter but an immediate impact player who was drafted in the first round. You’re setting yourself up for failure comparing the two because it just doesn’t exist.

  11. Covenant returns more playmakers IMO , but a Dave Pasch coached team will always be a tough out in November . Covenant has also done a better job of beefing up there schedule ( Speedway , Adams Central, Heritage Christian, and Park Tutor ) but you can't replicate the schedule of the ICC absolutely brutal conference.

  12. Does the GID keep stats on, for example, the earliest in a poster’s GID career to have a post removed? Asking for a friend. 😆

  13. Ladies and Gents, it had to happen sooner or later...... Welcome Cody Parkhurst to the GID.

  14. Another team that came out as a winner is South Spencer. Going from a 2A sectional with Mater Dei, Linton, North Posey to a 1A sectional is really good for them. They are in rebuilding mold, but historically they have tradition. This realignment can't do anything but help the rebuild.

  15. What if it’s not hearsay and they have proof? Lol can they post it
