  1. Leaving conference is fine, Leaving Conference without following what I am sure is some sort of by law for time is another. That is always a bad deal for the schools you leave behind. Leave, fine, leave with month left of school, yikes

  2. I'm pretty sure that CG would prefer to be playing in-state, but probably not at the expense of playing an under-.500 2A team.

  3. As a player, I got to witness them ring it twice…

  4. I actually had hair back then. Quite a bit. 😂 Nope. That’s a midfielder. They typically have short attention spans.

  5. I know it’s not 3/4A but I would love to see an annual CG/Whiteland matchup. The present vs the future.

  6. Sad, if you asked me. Indiana high school teams should be playing other teams in the state--it's that simple.

  7. I wasn't going to pick on the Wolfhound ... he has less hair than some of the guys in that team picture.

  8. Looks like that guy has a brother/twin. Look at the guy on the second row in the middle ... the one that looks like Ace Ventura.

  9. I'll take a gander and say that it's the guy, in the second row, who is distracted and not paying any attention. Typical ref! 😝

  10. I'm looking for the bald guy but can't find him. Are you sure you are in this picture? 🙂

  11. Whiteland has been on the cusp for a little bit. There were a few years they have been better than solid but ran into Cathedral or Columbus East and just couldn't quite get over that hump. Like Coach Moore at Center Grove, Coach Fisher at Whiteland has built Whiteland from the ground up using a similar blueprint.

  12. It's a shock to be sure. While it may not be the most ideal when it comes to tourney prep. I agree with the statement that just getting to the postseason healthy is half the battle. Should be an interesting first year for the Kings. Will change of scenery lead to more success? Time will tell, I for one look forward to seeing where this leads not only in football, but the other sports as well.

  13. The move makes perfect sense. how many years did Tipton, Western, or Hamilton Heights step up to play West Lafayette as a non conference game? I think the three game stretch of Western, WL, and HH with a possible crossover with a WL had taken its toll on the program. In 2019, Cass beat two out of the three and then turned around to play WL in the crossover. That was followed by Pioneer in the first round of the Sectional. The team won the conference and the sectional, but was absolutely beat up from top to bottom by the time they played Andrean in the regional. That 5 game stretch was brutal.

  14. "These rankings factor in parent and student surveys on sports, total high school enrollment, K-12 sports championships, number of sports, and athletic participation rates." Public schools will never match private schools on athletic participation rates.

  15. Kudos to the CG athletic department and football staff for their efforts to secure a full schedule for their kids and program. Thanks to the 4 Indiana teams and 5 out of state teams to schedule the Trojans. The schedule is a very tough one. Hopefully it pays off!! Trojan Pride!!

  16. Wondering what puts Dwenger and Snider over Universities of Homestead and Carroll ? It appears that they may be giving credits for championships going back decades. A more accurate measurement would be what has transpired in the last ten years.
