  2. Let’s stop all this small talk and get real. Call your state representative and let’s change the name of the state from Indiana to Indigenia.

  5. It's really too bad East Central is so far from BNL. Seymour, EC, BNL, CE, JC, Madison, etc. Idk just thinking outside the box.

  6. I was pointing out the absurdity of how the regular season has no bearing on how the post-season is done. When I tell people from other states about how Indiana does this, they think I am joking. They can't believe anyone would ever set up a system like this. We have a competitive 9-week exhibition season.

  9. https://youtu.be/9YIB8HRGnkU?t=2437 Thoughts on the shift (legal/illegal?) from this punt play from 2000. Lineman are all in a 2pt stance before shifting out. Someone on the line does yell "shift" just before the movement. They are awarded the first down but on the next play, fumble the ball to the defense! Video should hopefully start at the 40:40 mark.

  10. Yep. Thanks Biden. At the same time the assessed valuation the government puts on my modest home, which has stayed within about $5k of what I paid for it over 20 years ago has now somehow mysteriously increased in value over the last 2 years by over $55,000. This has of course the intended intention of greatly increasing my property tax burden so the city of Frankfort can pay for a new park, a new swimming pool, err excuse me aquatics center, and a new police station. And also tack on the bill coming due for the $30 million dollar renovation to Frankfort High School a few years ago. Yet the city politicians can crow "we didn't raise the tax rates to pay for all this". All I see is collusion between the city government and the county government, who is in charge of the property assessments.

  11. Jeez - some kids are just stupid......These went way over the top. Baby oil/vaseline pranks are one thing, but spray painting and the extras are just going to put unnecessary costs on top of costs in already struggling school systems.

  13. Is that a bad thing? Many conferences have become unstable anyway. Many other states do this district structure. Many in Indiana will oppose it because it sets up perfectly for a qualifying tournament as well.

  16. This kid gets an "Atta boy" for standing up to the left. “Who is this protected class?” he asked. “Are their feelings more important than my rights? I don’t complain when I see Pride flags and diversity posters hung throughout the school. Do you know why? Because others have a right to their beliefs, just as I do.” https://nypost.com/2023/05/01/boy-says-he-was-sent-home-over-shirt-that-said-there-are-only-two-genders/ A 12-year-old boy from Massachusetts claimed he was sent home from school a few weeks ago for wearing a t-shirt that declared that there are “only two genders,” which he was told made other students feel “unsafe.” Liam Morrison, a seventh grader at John T. Nichols Jr. Middle School in Middleborough, recounted the incident during a Middleborough School Committee meeting on April 13 — and his fiery speech went viral Sunday after being picked up by the popular right-wing Twitter account Libs of TikTok. Morrison said he was pulled from gym class on March 21 and met with school officials, who told him during what he described as an “uncomfortable talk” that people were complaining about the message on his shirt, which they said made them feel “unsafe.” “They told me that I wasn’t in trouble, but it sure felt like I was,” the boy stated. “I was told that I would need to remove my shirt before I could return to class. When I nicely told them that I didn’t want to do that, they called my father.” The 12-year-old noted that his father was supportive of his stance and arrived at school to pick him up.Liam Morrison, a seventh-grader at Nichols Middle School in Massachusetts, claimed that he was sent home on March 21 for refusing to take off a t-shirt that read, “There are only two genders.” Morrison said he was told the slogan on his shirt was “targeting a protected class” — apparently referring to transgender and nonbinary people — and was a “disruption to learning.” The 12-year-old pushed back against those claims in his address to the school committee. “Who is this protected class?” he asked. “Are their feelings more important than my rights? I don’t complain when I see Pride flags and diversity posters hung throughout the school. Do you know why? Because others have a right to their beliefs, just as I do.” The seventh-grader further argued that his shirt caused no disruption in the classroom. “No one got up and stormed out of class. No one burst into tears,” Morrison told his audience. “I’m sure I would have noticed if they had.” “I experience disruptions to my learning every day,” he added. “Kids acting out in class are a disruption, yet nothing is done. Why do the rules apply to one yet not another?” Morrison pointed out that before he was booted from the school, “not one person” complained to him directly about the words on his shirt — and he said some students had even expressed their support for him. The student emphasized that he did not go to school that day wearing that shirt to “hurt feelings of cause trouble,” but rather to exercise his right to free speech. “I know that I have a right to wear a shirt with those five words,” Morrison said. “Even at 12 years old, I have my own political opinions and I have a right to express those opinions. Even at school. This right is called the First Amendment to the Constitution.” Morrison concluded his address by calling on the School Committee to protect the rights of students to express themselves freely. “Next time, it may not only be me,” he warned. “There might be more soon that decide to speak out.” As the middle-schooler’s defiant speech began drawing attention over the weekend, the Massachusetts Family Institute, a Christian conservative nonprofit, announced on Twitter that it was providing legal support for the boy. The Middleborough school superintendent did not immediately respond to request for comment Monday.

  19. I’m not sure how CG made this list…I’ve been told by so many people they have a culture problem permeating through their entire community.

  20. So you’d rather see CG fill their schedule with 3A/4A schools out of necessity to fit some sort of bogus standard you’ve created? For years, folks clamored to see Indiana schools schedule elite out of state opponents and now that we have it, you’re making up this nonsense? This entire CG is nothing more than hurt feelings, and if they were average on the gridiron would not even be a thing. All adults involved should be embarrassed.

  21. Following your logic, CG should be just fine, as 5 in-state games were originally scheduled. They have zero control if 2 of those schools change their minds once the schedule was established. (one for purely $$, one for politics) No penalty for schools that fail to honor their original commitments? You find that acceptable? Interesting...your system would competitors to determine if schools are "in or out". A great way to eliminate your main competition. Politics rule!! Long live collusion!!

  22. https://clintoncountydailynews.com/senior-prank-at-clinton-central-not-funny/ More details emerge besides just baby oil: https://clintoncountydailynews.com/more-details-are-known-following-this-weekends-vandalism/ I've heard the initial cost of the damage due to this "senior prank" is upwards of $25,000. Not good.
