  1. We are grieving. But in our grief, we find consolation in the words of the great man himself.

  2. Not taking a stance . . . or . .. well... . yeah obviously I'm curious as to why I see the ad that I'm 'trying ' to attach to this topic. Uh since this is a high school football congregation I would assume there are high school studends players that visit often. Is It appropriate to have to see same sex marriage represented here? I don't like it much myself ....

  3. Mitchell. We didn't get one the Clarksville week. I'm assuming/Hoping Crawford is our only other non JV week.

  5. I’m sure every D coordinator is sweeting trying to figure out how to stop Bosse QB. A quick glance at their stats though looks like the RB and multiple WR are putting up good stats as well. Any team that puts up 40+ on Castle with their 30 coaches and 70 players is legit. Anytime a usually bottom feeder school competes I am all for it. Better for SIAC.

  7. @MuleDriver Hey Driver, maybe you have already seen it, but the shutouts continued this morning with the JV team beating THN 61-0 and the freshman team beating them 48-0. Again, maybe you are already aware of it, but the JV team team has a freshman kid starting at the QB position who will probably be the starting QB next season as a soph, and there has been quite a bit of hype about him. His name is Duncan Combs and he is 6-5 and 190 lbs, and he has guided the JV team to three straight blowout wins to start the season. I've seen some video on him and he has a great touch on his passes. While I know that video clips only show the highlights, he showed a very accurate arm on the deep throws, laying them right in there. That position looks good going forward.

  8. Wagner basically was in video game mode all night. If you can contain him you will win by multiple TDs. If you don’t contain him then your Defense is in for a long night.

  14. Impressed with what Bosse was able to do tonight. You could really see the potential in their offense Week 1. I didn't expect quite what we've seen the last 2 weeks, but not totally shocked either. Going to be interesting to see how they continue to improve over the next 6 weeks. Lincoln/MD... I'll admit this one was a little closer than what the Alices probably envisioned. Lincoln got out to a 14-0 lead by the end of 1 and looked like they might comfortably pull away with no sign of resistance from MD. But from the 2nd q on, it was a totally different ball game. Not sure who started at QB for the Wildcats against Castle, but Tate Mallory was exceptional tonight. There were numerous plays where Lincoln was in a good defense/coverage and he simply made a great throw or got to the edge when protection broke down. Had me shaking my head thinking he's only a sophomore. But in the end, VL seemed to make all the plays when they needed them to keep MD at arms length. No doubt there are things that need improved upon, but they were able to win an ugly game on the road against a quality program.

  15. Pioneer fought hard but credit Laville for making some big plays to pull away for the win 29-13. Often over-looked weapon in high school football is having a kicker who can put it in the end zone every time. Plummer leg left the Panthers with long fields time after time. panthers had two big drives total of 24 plays in first half with no points. Laville scored with :01 left in half for a 10-7 lead. First drive of second half saw Pioneer freshman safety with interception with Panthers at midfield. Back to back illegal procedures killed the momentum. Plummer made huge plays with his legs and arm to doom Pioneer.

  17. Since this is a Snider Panther thread, just want to throw something out there for discussion. Is the SAC a good conference for all the schools, speaking of just football. We have a wide disparity in classes from 2A to 6A, which is a big gap. Makes for a lot of non-competitive games in the conference . Snider has no business playing South Side, Concordia, Northrop, and Wayne in any year. Play Carroll, Homestead, Luers, Dwenger, and North Side and find 4 other teams to play. I really believe the gap is as big as I have seen it this year in the SAC. Snider and Carroll are far and away better than the rest of the teams and it makes for very boring football to watch. I think it is laughable when people say that one time 10 years ago Concordia beat Snider, blah, blah, blah. What about he last 30 games between the 2 teams, how competitive was it? Or South Side and Wayne? Don’t even get me started with Northrop. Same with Carroll, nobody in our conference, other than Snider, will be competitive with them. 78-6 vs. South Side, and I’m sure it could have been worse

  21. Simple name change to All Coasts Conference. 🤣 On another note, I will try to find the stories, but there is some buzz that is in your wheelhouse. The common theme I have been seeing is a system of relegation and promotion in the future college game.
