I have zero connection to the BD or Warren programs.  Zero.  

Unlike you, I have set in the stands for years when those programs have played CG, and I know how good they are and how rivalry can bring out the best and worst in a player.

Right now the difference between Sagarin and Calpreps is negligible. One takes out of state opponents into consideration the other doesn’t. Outside of the top 2 (Brownsburg and Westfield) it is a crap shoot on ranking the rest. You can pretty much toss the teams in a hat and pull them out and be somewhat accurate.

i would say it is interesting beyond 2 because of matchups (strengths and weaknesses of teams).

Nothing to do with CG....I took exception to you making way to big a deal over a single game between 2 storied programs.  So both teams didn't play their best football last week...its one game.  My guess is that if these teams face each other later in the season, they will be good football games.

While I don't agree with all of your comments, I haven't invested enough with you one way or another to have any feelings.  Don't take it so personal.

I mean, looking at the final score Friday night, it could be inferred that it was a "good football game" but my eyes told me differently.  It was a pillow fight that neither team wanted to seize control of.

Not quite there yet but if you’re asking me to choose between Eric Moore, John Hart and Josh Miracle (probably unfair even include him here in his first year) in November, I am going with Moore every time unless there is a large gap in talent discrepancy…

I don’t believe there is and am unsure I can get hurt by the HCC again.

Can somebody help me on Valpo and Merrillville here?  Valpo hasn't really beaten anyone of note and lost to what ended up being an overvalued Penn team.

Merrillville got blasted at home in their only test of the year.

Meanwhile, Mishawaka (who blew out Penn) is unranked.

I was thinking the same thing....If you have Valpo ranked then Mishawaka and Penn need to be in there....However, Penn doesn't deserve to be looked at for the rest of the year. The only way they pull themselves out of this mess is if they win their sectional. 

Mishawaka is being punished for getting beat by an undefeated Concord who is only 24th on this list while Valpo is sitting at 14? BRO look at the results please.

With you 100%!!! The simple explanation is that it is the Indy Star doing this… Mishawaka is the best team from that area this year other than Crown Point

The Concord v Mishawaka game came down to the failed 2pt conversion. Mishawaka proved their PAT game is not good during the Penn game. It was a heck of a come back by Mishawaka in the second half. 

I think if they play that game over again, Mishawaka would likely win. 

Concord however is finding ways to win games, which is what you need to do.

On another note, I just noticed that New Pal only has 8 games on the schedule (per Harrell)....maybe I missed it being talked about elsewhere....but does anyone know why?

You do realize that it was 35-20 with something like 2mins to go!?! Two deep balls vs. a bad "prevent" defense and an onside squeezed in between, is why it looked so close!!
