roaringthunderdlr Posted November 15, 2025 Posted November 15, 2025 Biggest game in Cascade's program history as they host the Gibson Southern Titans at home. Gibson Southern has rolled through southwestern Indiana, beating some of the better teams in the region including SAC champion Evansville Memorial and 4A regional winner Heritage Hills. Their only loss so far was on the road at Rochester (IL), a small-school power in Illinois based near Springfield. They are coming off a 42-14 home victory against Indian Creek. Cascade has also rolled through their competition in the Monon Athletic Conference as well. The competition hasn't been stellar, but Cascade has STEAMROLLED teams. They scored 98 in a game and were up on conference runner-ups Southmont (who went 11-2 themselves) 46-0 at halftime. Cascade just came off of a road victory against a very good Lawrenceburg team, 37-33. Thoughts on this showdown? Quote
hhpatriot04 Posted November 15, 2025 Posted November 15, 2025 Hope there's some good news updates regarding the player who was taken away by ambulance from Jewell Field on a stretcher on Friday night. Quote

Since you had to send this before you even rolled into bed last night...I'll take the bait, but first a few corrections. Evansville Memorial and Mater Dei are in the SIAC. Rochester is 4A in IL and has won nine state championships and rolled the competition under head coach Derek Leonard. These championships were won between 2010 and 2023, including a perfect 14-0 season in 2023. GS has played the best 3A competition in the state. Sagarin has the Cacade strengh of schedule at 181 and GS at 99, Sagarin also has Cascade something like a 5 point favorite at home. Massey has Cacase as a 1 point favorite. GS lost their All State QB for the season last night. Given that Cascade has STEAMROLLED the little sisters of the poor....and given the current circumstances...they should roll to a Semi-State victory Saturday at 6:00CST at home. 1 Quote
jets Posted November 15, 2025 Posted November 15, 2025 Bet against Gibson Southern at your own peril- but not this guy. Tough circumstances for sure, but what I do know is: -Hart is a damn good coach and will have his guys ready - GS doesn’t take a back seat to anyone - Good luck on Friday night Quote
Sparty Posted November 15, 2025 Posted November 15, 2025 Would be REALLY cool if both Hart HC’s still working, make it to LOS in a couple weeks. Best wishes to all teams Quote

Don't think that Cascade will necessarily roll to a victory, Gibson Southern is still tough. But I've got Cascade winning. Quote

Very effective- love me some Wing T- BUT- I’m telling you- if you think you’re just gonna line up and run downhill on the Titans- good luck. Quote

They have a three very capable running backs - Savini, Farmer, Mink - and a quarterback - Trebley - who is capable of running and throwing and has not thrown an interception all season long. Cascade is run-first but they are very capable of airing it out if necessary. Defense is also great and good at forcing turnovers. Edited November 16, 2025 by roaringthunderdlr Quote

A play every 10 seconds is cute. Quote
HHPatriots Posted November 16, 2025 Posted November 16, 2025 I think GS wins this one. Zach being out is an obvious problem, but personnel isn't a issue for Hart....dude can flat out coach--might be the best in the tri-state at his craft. Quote

They literally built I-69 so the Pocket region could feel like it’s part of the state. Yet, Gibson Southern must still take all gravel roads to drive north. Quote

Nobody wants to feel like they are a part of the Eastern time zone. Edited November 17, 2025 by Titan32 1 Quote

oldtimeqb Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 If the entire state was on Central time (like it should be) - then a 2.5 hour drive on a Friday wouldn't be an issue. But losing the hour is a HUGE deal for students, fans, and parents that want to drive. That said - Saturday night game is a BIG deal for GS. You basically have given a great coaching staff two extra practices - Friday afternoon and Saturday morning before they get on the bus. If I were Cascade, I would have asked for a 12 noon CST kickoff on Saturday. Quote
StinkTownClown Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 Stinky, Stink, Stink 1.2..3... Congrats to Cascade, they were fun and partied with STC. One question for Cascade and their fans....... Did your DC get booted while shaking hands? Heard some fans talking about it after the game But with Tiger Fire and Tiger BL's, I could have been hearing things...... Quote
