For all the supposed animosity, I saw a lot of respect last night from both CG’s and LC’s players. It reiterates that other teams’ refusal to play us is about adult egos and not what is in the kids’ best interest.2 points

I thought he was talking about WW silver….. I agree the yellow sucks, but like the silver helmets……but white would be cool too1 point

More points than I expected in this game. Was a great game to watch. I didn’t see what you’re referring to1 point

I have to believe that South would have won that game against the Cougars if not for the bad snaps. The Cougars got 10 of their 17 points in regulation after a series by South that included snaps over the head, including one that pinned them against their own goal line setting up an easy score for the Cougars after a punt from the back of the end zone. But that's football and mistakes are a big part of it. The Panthers had their left guard go down in the 1st qtr against Southport, and it appeared to be an ankle issue. He had to hop off the field with help while keeping his right leg elevated.1 point

I'm a hater. I'll admit it. I get more JOY of watching Snider lose by as little as say just 1 point, then watching the Knights win by multiple scores! Good day, ladies and gents!1 point

Probably too soon to know but with the meat of their schedule mostly behind them it wouldn’t be shocking for them to be very cautious with his return to play. The sophomore who replaced him wasn’t too bad especially having taken probably zero snaps during the prep week. Should be interesting to see how they coach him up and develop a game plan specifically or his skills if they choose to give the starter a week or two to recover.1 point

Agree, creating a poll after this week is challenging. I just saw the Westfield score. Having a bad game following a big emotional win is a real thing. Or an emotional loss in Carroll's case. I'm not worried about Snider. Sometimes they need a loss to bring them back down to earth. Maybe going up 14-0 in the first six minutes led them to think the rest of the night would be easy, who knows. The bye week in the playoffs will be a Godsend for them. Valpo is the real deal. Nineteen returning starters, that's all we need to know. It would be mistake for anyone to think that Valpo's not capable of defending their title. What I learned last night: If Snider can lose to Homestead, and Carroll only beats Wayne by 7pts, then Valpo can lose to Penn. Anything can happen on any given Friday. Brownsburg wasting Westfield last night makes me feel a little better about what they did to Dwenger. How big of a threat are the Saints in Sectional 19? New Haven, Leo, East Noble, Columbia City (who fought NH to the end last night), and Dwenger. Possibly the most interesting sectional in the state. Got to see New Haven in person last night. It's true, they have some athletes. It's true, they have a legitimate shot at Lucas. It's true, East Central is a HEAVY favorite to take state.1 point

No temp bad Bad temp What did we talk about There is definitely a wrong answer for #5 and you found it1 point

Looking bad after a physically and emotionally draining game doesn't necessarily make Chatard, Carmel, Crown Point, and Penn better than Snider and Carroll. Crown Point beat Valpo on a late touchdown. Not sure ten teams separate them.1 point

Heritage Hills 31, Gibson Southern 28 (injury timeouts) Kidding... Gibson Southern 31, Heritage Hills 28 - What a game. Gibson is a great team and could have run away with this one, but Heritage Hills strung some drives together late and kept it interesting. Bravo. Heritage Hills pulled a FG left just a few feet in Q2 that would have pushed this into OT. Gibson will put up at least six TDs on everyone until deep in the tourney. Some terrific football being played in SW Indiana right now. DeLong, Novotny and the Titans offense is just scary at the 3A level!1 point

I graduated from East Central in 2000. Still have some family members on the coaching staff and the team. So what still follow them. When I graduated from college I moved to Carmel. Started coaching CYO when my son was in 3rd grade and moved up every year with him through 8th grade last year. So I’ve seen pretty much all the Indy CYO teams a few times. Barnabas and St. Mike were the two dominant teams in our age. All the Barnabas kids go to Roncalli and apparently most of the St Mike kids went to Chatard this year. Barnabas also had a good class the year above my son along with St Roch being pretty good. So I’d expect Roncalli to have some pretty good classes and Chatard to be really strong. Trust me, when the current freshmen are seniors, Chatard will have a Mr. Football candidate at running back. So that’s how I ended up as a dual East Central/Northside Catholic School guy.1 point

Surprise this hasn't already been posted. The "Game Of The Week" was a snoozefest. Brownsburg scored all five first half possessions to lead at Westfield 30-0 at the half. Both teams scored once in the final half with the running clock after Dogs went up 37-0. Final 37-7. I've had doubts about Westfield, even though they were able to pull out four close games in a row. I thought after that great game at HSE last week that they might be for real, but they were no match for Brownsburg. Dogs obviously the class of the HCC.1 point

The only 3A team that has, so far, won the 4A State Championship is Evansville Memorial. They have done it once. Unfortunately, 4A is not the pushover for bumped 3A teams that 5A has proven to be for 4A teams that have been bumped up. Every time Chatard has been bumped it’s either ran into a Roncalli team on the rise (since the IHSAA insists on putting all the Catholics in the same sectional if at all possible) or a team like New Pal in Regional when they began their run a few years back…so Chatard continues get get knocked back down to 3A. Now, if the IHSAA just wasn’t so “cute” about those Sectional pairings….1 point

I wasn't a fan personally. But im starting to feel like the old man who yells at clouds. I think WW looks better with white helmets then the silver also. Maybe I'm just anti using colors that aren't your school's. 😂😂1 point

Aren't they all? Who wins unlimited vote "awards" is usually just a function of who has the most time to keep hitting "Return to Poll"...1 point

If I am Jasper I would drop Bosse and Harrison in a heartbeat and replace with HH and Southridge. The visiting fan gate receipts would be substantially different. While an EVSC non-EVSC split would be easy, only North and Reitz really have fan bases that goes to away games. My vote would be a football only split on Hwy 41. East: Jasper, Castle, Harrison, Memorial, Bosse. West: North, Central, Vincennes, Reitz, MD I would imagine there would still be teams that would schedule 2-3 crossover games (Mem-MD, VL-Jasper, Reitz-Castle, etc)1 point

Hartman is a game changer. he makes everyone a better player. Funny how many thought Buchner was the golden boy at one time. We have a real QB. He has to stay healthy. While everyone talks about the big three the Duke game looms a week after OSU. Duke is the real deal based on what I have watched. That is a huge trap game. It will get crazy here starting on Thursday and then you have Game Day as well. I wonder how many ND fans gave up their tickets to the fans in red. We shall see come Saturday1 point
