Such a weak take IMO. So essentially it's impossible for a program outside of the MIC to be designated "best in the state". So outside of schedule, why else do you think EC is the 5th best team in the state and not ranked higher?

They played against Madison Grant, Carroll, and North Judson for most of the 4th quarter during the tournament. Had to play all 4 quarters vs Bluffton in the regular season. Bluffton, 1st quarter of Madison Grant, and 1st half of North Judson were the worst quarters of football they've played all year. Before I get scolded for saying that, most teams would be content if their team played to that level. Those games, the other teams were very hungry and the Jets had to settle in. They cannot afford to do that against a juggernaut Lutheran squad. This AC team is resilient and keeps their composure, but it's in their best interest to have a good start this week.

Have you looked at the four-loss Moeller team's schedule? (Whose RB has committed to Michigan, btw.) Loss to EC 38-28. Lost to Center Grove, your #3 team 35-34 in OT. Lost to Ben Davis 49-28. I would put East Central as #2 behind Ben Davis just based on that alone. Moeller also beat Dwenger 57-0 for comparison as well. The Trojans are pretty darn good.

You should be able to watch them on delay if you'd like. I just tested it and I'm capable of going and watching the Semi-State games. It's $20 for all 6 games. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

Absolutely. Geographical representation at the state finals is a cool site to see. What I “want to happen” and what I “think will happen” are often two very different things. All four corners represented this upcoming weekend. Love it.

Close = A game where the outcome isn't decided until late 3rd quarter or sometime thereafter. Folks, meaning those wanting a northern 6A team to do well? "Folks" up north, in class 6A specifically, haven't seen a large enrollment school with a proven coaching staff like Buzea whose 'been there done that.' I think that could be the difference. Look, I get it. Ben Davis is good. They were waxing Center Grove at one point in the game before allowing them back in it. Would I be surprised if Ben Davis beat Crown Point by four touchdowns? Yes. Three? No. But honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if Crown Point won the whole thing. Early prediction: Close game until the fourth. Giants by 14.

Sigh…not only does that comment slap schools like Columbus North and Franklin Central in the face, but over that span, pulls in schools to include both Bloomington South and North, Columbus East, Martinsville, etc. Not to mention some real tough regional battles. Eric Moore built a dynasty from a school that prior to him had won one sectional championship. You don’t get to trash that level of accomplishment with an ounce of credibility. Think a little before you spew.

This is a totally different look, as BC coaches will clearly see, we have jettisoned the flexbone. That offense was put together for Cole Sigler, who was a special athlete that couldn't throw well. We dumped that offense. Jett is a dual threat 1000+ passer, 1000+ runner. Dangerous when you flush him. This is a different look than 2019. We still run the wishbone every now and then....some of old guys get a tear in the eye when they do. BUT THEY DON'T RUN IT AS WELL AS 25 YEARS AGO DADGUMIT! 🙂
