Admins may want to move this to The Next Level forum but I thought it would get a little better visibility here.
The NAIA National Championship game is tonight at 7p ET on ESPN3. We received an email this morning from the IFOA letting us know the officiating crew consists of 7 officials from the Indianapolis area. These officials all worked HS football games in Indiana recently. Many of them worked games last Fall since their college season was delayed. They work primarily in the GLVC and Mid-States conferences during the season. The referee tonight was the back judge in the 2A championship game in November! Congrats to these officials for such a great honor.
There should be 32 teams in 6A.. The 32 teams with the biggest enrollment.
A 3-team sectional isnt a sectional. Its one game for somebody
Let Class 1A have the byes/ They need them. There's five eight teams sectionals in 1A
You’re trying to convince people why Penn should move to the DAC. Penn already plays the best team in the DAC ever year anyway, and they play 5 other opponents who are just as good, if not better than any other team in the DAC. That’s 2/3rds of their schedule. What advantageous gain does Penn have moving to the DAC? None. Sure Penn and Elkhart moving to the DAC improves the DAC, but it does nothing for Penn and Elkhart.
Adding programs like Penn and Elkhart makes sense for any conference, including the MIC and HCC. I think you are overthinking things. The more quality programs in a conference, the better overall quality of play. It really is that simple.
It's only fitting that a discussion about visors and caps in girls softball is in a thread about Hammond's new nickname seeing that both are trivial and insignificant.
I am just damned happy that we have LEGITIMATE Football to discuss, rather than the pontificating about "coaching moves, Conference re-alignments (dreams)...etc"
