  1. If you didn't follow the match lineup on Trackwrestling.com, I'm sure it was confusing as far as which mat to watch. Also, IHSAATV videos were at least 1:30(a minute and a half) behind FloWrestling. Flo is the best way to watch, but their unlimited video package is $150/year. Worth it to me, but probably not to the casual wrestling fan. Saturday's state championship bouts in each weight class will air live on Bally Sports Indiana.

  2. Spoke with one of the ADs on the committee over the weekend at wrestling semi state, he stated that they have the 2nd set of enrollment numbers now from the DOE. Will be checking them with the 1st set of DOE numbers to see if there are any numbers that do not match up. If there is no funny business, they should have the new set of classifications by the end of the month or the start of March.

  3. Great content but I thought DT was the only one allowed to create talking points like this. I’ll watch this one play out and take notes on the stark differences in how this topic is received because of who you aren’t.

  4. With continued talks of conference realignment and the ramifications of Carmel and CG exiting the MIC, the Mid-State Conference is one of the best growing athletic conferences in the State. Great schools and great competition in not only football, but in every sport. Sure it is not as big as the MIC or HCC in terms of enrollment and product of play, but it is turning into one heck of a conference. There was an article from the Daily Journal that came out not too long ago about the future of the Mid-State and you have to think there are schools who would like to join. Although the conference is already at 8 schools, does not mean they are set. It would not surprise me if they look to expand and grow into an even bigger conference. There are 4 schools that should immediately be banging on the door for an entrance in. These 4 schools are Southport, Columbus North, Bloomington North, and Bloomington South. These schools are members of the dying Conference Indiana and need to find a home quickly. This will obviously help with scheduling stability, which these 4 schools struggle each year with, but also be a great fit with competition and distance to games/events. This would place 12 schools in the Mid-State. For football, they could definitely come up with a 2 division scenario for games. Mid-State West- Plainfield, Decatur Central, Mooresville, Martinsville, Bloomington North, Bloomington South Mid-State East- Southport, Perry Meridian, Greenwood, Whiteland, Franklin, Columbus North 1 Nonconference, 5 Inter division games, 2 games from other division, Championship week 9 (1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3, 4vs4, 5vs5, 6vs6). There are some different sizes of schools in the Mid-State, but I do not think the difference in sizes is too much for a sport like football. All these schools would benefit from many factors, especially the proposed new schools from CI. I am not sure if Mid-State members are open to expansion, but I do think this would be one heck of a new conference and push to being one of the best in the state. There would be so many great matchups and rivalries with great crowds and exposure.

  5. I talked to a Tecumseh football player at the wrestling semistate a few days ago. He said that the word at Tecumseh is they are coming back into the PAC for football.

  7. I believe it is only a matter of time. 6 schools remain. The outliers are the Terre Hautes. Which they are stuck in an odd situation with being that far west in the state compared to the other 4 schools. Southport attempted to leave a few years back with looking at a new conference. Columbus North has has fished around as well. I believe Columbus North and the Bloomingtons are probably wanting some stability and want a place that will help their strong athletic backgrounds grow.

  9. This is pretty cool. Congrats to Ben. A good friend of mine is the OC at Homestead and has nothing but great things to say about him. Actually got to coach against him (well sorta, he was pretty good lol) a couple of times before the conference ended.

  13. Loved the music growing up also but you are spot on. These artists made a living off of songs promoting domestic violence and killing cops. As a matter of of Snoop’s hits is actually titled “&$?! The Police.” Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

  14. I agree 100%, I am not a fan of the SF. I mentioned in another thread 6A teams don't get punished for winning. I think if a 6A team gets the move up points they should have to sit out the next two years. Only way to make it fair.

  15. For the most part, these towns are not relevant to any high school sport anymore.

  16. Muda, you can give me all the down votes you want....truly not much of a motivator for me. My comment wasn't directed toward any one person. Pretty much most comments. Jets vs The Sharks If that you "feel" my comment in a less than positive way, well sorry...nothing personal to you intended. Hopefully, we are all just bored without football.

  17. I can confirm that I fathered a #2 this morning. Does that help?

  18. Any success factor adjustment that puts Chatard in 3A and WeBo in 2A is a sham. As @jets pointed out, Southridge was 3A for 3 years after winning ONE title. To make WeBo 3A for one year after winning THREE 2A titles would be absurd.

  19. "Purdue getting a bigger steal than they thought" Not sure how this is relevant. Purdue knows exactly what they have. A change in a player's ranking doesn't change that.
