All opinions welcome, that's what makes for good forum. If there was no debate, there would be much less interest. Thanks DT for the rankings. It goes into depth we don't see in most other polls. If any poll is a joke, it's the AP and the Coaches Poll. Gibson Southern's reputation speaks for itself, those especially from Southern Indiana know that. If anything, appreciate a low ranking or no ranking at all. It'll probably just give GS the motivation they need, that they may not have had otherwise.

Biggest plus about Center Grove going 28-0 and 2 straight State Championships but losing a lot of talent to graduation. Reps lots of young players that will start or have significant playing time this year have had lots of reps playing that deep into those 2 years. Many of them had to go against those great players lost to graduation in practice. Yes should make for an interesting year in the South bracket. Trojans 28-0 the last 2 years, and the Irish 27-2 over the last 2 years (both losses to Center Grove in tight close games). Both teams have to rebuild defensively as some key players have graduated. Irish bring back a QB that had an impressive Soph season 2956 passing 33 TD's 2 Int's, a impressive WR with 1174 yds and 11 TD's, as well as a solid TE Offensively. Trojans bring back a very fast (understatement) RB with 1,003 yds and 13 TD's and another RB with 631 yds and 10 TD's, but will breaking in a new QB to replace a very talented QB lost to graduation. Both have a terrific coaching staff and plenty of talent. They will definitely need players to step in and fill the voids lost to graduation, but will be very good.

Center Grove-Cathedral Semi-State part deaux for Semi-State at Arlington in the snow is the game this board deserves.

Now lets just hope he's as good of a head coach as he is a recruiter and was as a coordinator.

Arguing over someone's opinion of a high school football pre-season ranking is like a dog chasing a parked car. We get it...you don't agree with his pre-season #9 ranking in 3A. Does it really matter??? Anyone can post what they wish on this forum about high school football, assuming it falls within the rules of GID. If not, its up to the moderators to manage. If you don't like a thread, avoid it....its that simple.

you are trying to criticize the schedule of GS from 2018 and before….which is comical considering before 2018 we were playing Memorial, Heritage Hills and Southridge every year and we were playing KY 6A Henderson County. You also want to give credit to others despite them having much worse SoS than GS while you say GS plays down even though they don’t. make up your damn mind dude. You can’t give credit to teams like Lawrenceburg and Heritage Hills and then turn around and try to say GS doesn’t play enough big schools despite it being over half their damn schedule….and anything you want to argue that involves their schedule from before 2018 is a laughable point considering they were still playing state champions and the fact that…ya know…..IT WAS 4 YEARS AGO

Seeing PAC rival fans say “we know better than to think they will be down this year” is a good feeling thinking back to when people said that GS doesn’t have any tradition or culture. the team has come a long way in 10 years and it’s nice when even the rivals are saying “nah they are doing things the right way and will be ready to play”
