Folks, I will be at this one Friday night. Looking for some recommendations on a place to chow down locally before the game. Never been to Heritage Hills before, but I’ve heard a lot about it. Really looking forward to it.

Jenks Pizza in Dale, IN is about 10 minutes away from the school and a personal favorite

From the north on I-69.

If you get off 69 on 231, stop in Huntingburg, lots of options.  Gaslight is good.  Fry'd and Chop'd is good.  If you want fancy, Butcher and Barrel, good food and drinks, that's only if you have alot of time on your hands.

I'm not sure how well Batesville travels but thought I would share the graphic HHPatriots shared in the Memorial thread just in case on visitor parking.

park.jpg

I'll add to this that the likelyhood of having to park on the soccer lot and walk is slim.  There were several that parked there during the Memorial game, but doubt that will be needed this week.....but it is an option.

Stinky, Stink, Stink 1.2..3....

Golden Dome is more like an OL hog this year, just wait and see!!!

He moves like MJ, and slings it like Burrow

after this game, he'll just focus on spin rate and hitting corners!

Stink does love him some Golden Dome!!!!

Always has baffled me that the Santa Claus/Dale area doesn't have more good food options. I mean, especially with Holiday World, you figure the local area would be crawling with eating establishments??  That said, I know many of people from Spencer County that travel into DuCo to get something to eat. Granted, I'm not real versed in the options over there....they would be:

Jenks - Chateau - (is the LA Cantina) still open? - Brick Oven?

Anything else?

Got the graphic if anyone cares.

La Cantina!  Now that is a blast from the past.  They closed up shop years ago.  Holiday World is great while they are open for restaurants, but the down months make it difficult to keep the doors open, or so it seems.  There is also S&S BBQ in Santa Claus.

Reading through this thread makes me thankful to be from the EIAC and not from some weak ass conference that comes to the Grid to talk about where to eat! If you 'foodies' ever play Flatbill's Timberlakes in Steweytown, I doubt you'll even be able to watch the game! Fried Chicken, Ribeye Sammy's, Goetta, and Mascot BL's is all we need in SE Indiana!

Riddlery, riddlery, ree...this sure ain't '23. But the path was bright, and the wind was right, and we still have Triple C!

It doesn't matter how we got here though, as lucky as it was. For in our little casket town, this team is all the buzz.

I've said I'll never pick against the Dogs and this I never will. Though lying right in front of them is a giant Patriot hill.

But even if the Dogs go down in monumental defeat. All the elves in Santy Land still won't have food to eat!

EIAC FOREVER, Starving Elves NEVER!!!!

Any good Breaded Pork Tenderloin sandwiches in the area?  That may convince me to make the drive.

The folks asking for food ideas are not from the PAC, instead, you EIACs come in here and spit rhymes like school boys and clowns.  I get it.  🙂

Dairy Master or Break Time in Loogootee if you're driving there down 231.

Fat Santa's is just right down the road on the edge of Santa Claus.   I go there to indulge in Jolly Goodness with Fat Santa's Pizza – Where Every Slice is a Sleigh Ride to Flavor Wonderland!

Be careful on I-69 South of Bloomington at night. This is a bad time of the year for deer v. car incidents and they don't always cross where they supposed to.

If you have no kids with you, go to Louie's in Fulda.  Their pizza is the bomb too.
