Finish the regular season with a 6-3 record with a big time schedule! Jimmy Pappas ran for close to 250 yards on close to 40 carries. Final stats later. I wasn't at the game, I've been battling a reparatory virus all week. Watched on Indiana SRN, and I want to thank them for the free stream! Quote

On the other hand, South hurt themselves several times in this game with self-inflicted mistakes that contributed to the loss. Good teams don't hurt themselves with self-inflicted mistakes. I'm not saying that the Panthers are not a good team, they just weren't in this game, and I think the step-up in competition may have affected the play since it was probably a bigger game for them than the Trojans (IMO), and the pressure may have gotten to them. The Trojans don't really "wow" you, they just play good disciplined football. 9 minutes ago, Komets2727 said: Eh, I do remember earlier in the year you touting all of the talent the River Rats had and how they are a sleeper in 5A, but hey, I am a 6 pack and 3 mud slides in right now so who knows… Guilty. I'd have a lot to say, but I am bound by my 'professional situation' to keep my mouth shut on specifics of the contest. I WILL say that we were all a bit concerned in the 1st quarter that the "31 penalty" situation Carroll had last week in the Northrop game MIGHT be in play with the sloppiness of play going on with both teams. Thankfully all of that subsided once the 2nd quarter began, and we actually got a fairly clean game....according to most. Except at least one BIG MOUTH fan who was running his pie hole loudly all night from the cheap seats. Go Figure! Quote

I am pretty sure that @Rodney wouldn't have been THIS guy. I envision him being more of a fan of the game, and enjoying the atmosphere. Then making a rational approach and understanding of what happened and what was going on. The 'online' @Rodney probably is NOTHING like the 'in-person' one...no matter what he says.
