Bobref Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 I’ve seen Merrillville twice this year. They have major size, speed and athleticism. You’re probably not going to out-athlete them. Their vulnerability was shown by Chatard: play a disciplined, mistake-free, ball control game, and force them to make some mistakes. Stay away from the big play and force them to drive the ball. scarab527 Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 The Pirates are playing very well right now, what they did to Jeff last week was impressive. I think they take this one. Quote
southend Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Has Elkhart been I this situation in the last 5 years? Might be a factor. Talent aside. Quote

Elkhart is largely an unknown at this level...... you know..a first year consolidation of Elkhart Central and Elkhart Memorial... ....The 14-10 Elkhart win over a Chesterton team that Merrillville beat 34-10 might be a 'tell' Quote
Staxawax Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 This is obviously a Hollywood movie ala “Remember the Titans” in the making. Rival schools are merged. Fighting at practices (possibly embellished). In fighting amongst coaches (possibly embellished). A blond haired California surfer emerges at QB (definitely embellished). T. C. Williams, aka Elkhart, goes undefeated and ends up in Lucas Oil (definitely embellished)! Elkhart over Merrillville ! 1 Quote

SportsParentalFigure Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Both teams played a great game! back and forth in the fourth quarter. Good luck to Merrillville in the semi state. Elkhart you should be proud of bringing two rivals together and succeeding despite all that you guys had to over come. Quote
