Daniel_Bragg
I like the new cutoff, but it does hurt those that are barely missing moving down in class. Now, they are an even smaller school in the class.

WCGrad92
i see team discrepancies in mine as well, though, I am pretty sure Faith Christian doesnt play football, but yet i have them in there If that is the case, then Taylor probably moves back down to 1A, and Western Boone would be the smallest of those schools with 413 enrollment due to the smallest Freshman Class,

NLCTigerFan07
My best guess at 5A Sectional assignments. A lot of them are pretty easy, but a few outliers are going to make things interesting. OBVIOUS Sectional 9: Hammond Central, Hammond Morton, Merrillville, Munster Sectional 10: Chesterton, LaPorte, Michigan City, Valparaiso Sectional 11: Concord, Goshen, SB Adams, Warsaw MAYBE? Sectional 12: FW North, Kokomo, Lafayette Jefferson, McCutcheon Down in 5A South is where things get a little weird. there are a lot of obvious 2-team groupings, but then what other 2-teams do they pair up with? My best guess will be: MAYBE? Sectional 13: Anderson, East Central, Franklin, Whiteland Sectional 14: Decatur Central, Plainfield, Terre Haute North, Terre Haute South OBVIOUS (Only because they are the same as the last cylce) Sectional 15: Bloomington North, Bloomington South, Columbus East, Seymour Sectional 16: Castle, Evansville North, Floyd Central, New Albany

Throw FW North in with the NCC teams just to keep it clean. Things would get weird if they didn't go with something like this. Down South could go any number of ways but I think what you have here is probably the best way to do it.

scarab527
6A seems pretty straightforward, assuming the IHSAA sticks with their usual method of slotting new teams into where old teams were: 1: Crown Point, Lake Central, Portage, Harrison (slots in for Jeff) 2: Penn, Elkhart, Carroll, Snider (slots in for Warsaw) 3: Northrop, Homestead, Fishers, HSE 4: Carmel, Westfield, Zionsville, Noblesville 5: BD, Brownsburg, Pike, Avon 6: Cathedral, Lawrence North, Lawrence Central, North Central 7: Warren, Perry Meridian, Southport, Tech 8: CG, Columbus North, Jeffersonville, Franklin Central

Jeff may find post season tough with the likes of Decatur Central and Plainfield in that sectional. With how 5A is broken out, I do not believe the Lafayette Schools will get paired with Decatur Central and Plainfield. There are 14 schools that I would say with 99.9% certainty, they will be in 5A North. Those schools are: Sectional 9: Hammond Central, Hammond Morton, Merrillville, Munster Sectional 10: Chesterton, LaPorte, Michigan City, Valparaiso Sectional 11: Concord, Goshen, SB Adams, Warsaw Sectional 12: FW North, Kokomo and then 2 others My best guess is they would put the 2 Lafayette schools here. It seems to be their only option, unless they throw in Anderson and break up McCutcheon and Lafayette Jeff. But then, that makes next to no sense and would make things screwy down in 5A South where there are a lot of obvious 2-team groupings. Splitting up the Lafayette schools would cause a ripple effect that would end up breaking apart another twosome. I just don't see the IHSAA doing that, and going instead with something like the below. Sectional 13: Anderson, East Central, Franklin, Whiteland Sectional 14: Decatur Central, Plainfield, Terre Haute North, Terre Haute South Sectional 15: Bloomington North, Bloomington South, Columbus East, Seymour (Same as last cycle) Sectional 16: Castle, Evansville North, Floyd Central, New Albany (Same as last cycle)
WWFan
Looked back at some Mitchell numbers here is what I found 19-20/20-21 9th-119 10th-109 11th-121 12th-113. Total-462 22-23/23-24 9th-126 10th-117 11th- 110 12th-100. Total-453 24-25/25-26 9th-29 10th-39 11th-84 12th-60. Total-212 Now I know I sold my house in mitchell back in August but I dont have that many damn kids. It's hard to see that big of a fall off. Thats 57 kids leaving from 10th grade to now 12th in 2 years. I'm sure a couple of bottom 2A teams (Perry Central) would like a recount at couple of schools. Thats 57 kids leaving from 10th grade to now 12th in 2 years. I'm sure a couple of bottom 2A teams (Perry Central) would like a recount at couple of schools. Haha There was an error in the reporting data. The IHSAA still didn’t catch it on the original document they shared, but it has now been corrected. They have an enrollment of 430. Rochester has also been corrected. https://www.ihsaa.org/sites/default/files/documents/2024-25 2025-26 Enrollments.pdf
