The Colts have finally fire GM Ryang Grigson. Not a good sign for Pagano.

Pagano will stay for 2017. Irsay didn't really commit to anything beyond that. I think it's so late he'll let the new GM do as he wishes after the season.

From Irsay about Pagano.

"I hope Chuck can be our coach for many years to come. He is our coach this year, and going through this process and interviewing general managers and having whoever the new general manager come in to work with me, to evaluate where we’re at will play a big role in that in the long term. But for 2017, Chuck is our coach."

Not sure what you mean by he made a mess of things, but when he hired this GM he sure screwed up, and every one was skeptical. But he was given a chance and now, lets get a real GM in there and get the ship upright. This only a good move by the owner if he ponys up and spends some of those non profit dollars. Lets see.

The "Mess of things" was from when the news came out that he pursued John Gruden and whiffed and the  stayed silent. At the time it looked bad because he didn't get rid of anybody and it was just a bad look. He fixed some of that yesterday.

According to Adam Schuster, Irsay had both Grigson and Pagano world with a psychologist to see if they could work out their issues. They couldn't and here we are.

I meant to say it was just a bad stigma and Adam Schefter.

Grigson's worst move, IMO, was bringing in "old" free agents like Gore and Andre Johnson in the quest to "win now." But the OL was so deficient they couldn't keep their franchise QB upright.

He also completely ignored the Defense in the Draft. He only made 3 defensive draft choices in the first 3 rounds, one of which is no longer in the NFL. Also, not one player from the 2013 NFL Draft is with the team, but I will give him that that was one of the worst draft classes in NFL history.
