Cool, but he said ANYTHING. Doyel was on record as stating that Carson Wentz’s unvaccinated status made him a terrible human being, that players would die if college football had fans, and thousands would die if the Indy 500 allowed fans. And like most lefties, was DEAD wrong and refuses to acknowledge or apologize for it.3 points

He definitely is one of the elite talents at the LB position….but he’s an off ball linebacker so essentially he’s the RB of the defense and ultimately doesn’t make that big of an impact for winning NFL games with that said…the bears have plenty of cap space and they are trying to do him dirty. They should pay him….this is the type of move that a team deep in cap problems would do…and a team that is a playoff team who is expected to contend….not the team currently projected to have the 1st overall pick2 points

Sullivan is already there, right? Adding Lincoln, Linton and N. Knox would seem to help all 3 and could be doable with the 2 divisions. Linton's current schedule is not going to get them prepared for a team like Mater Dei.2 points

Thankfully the paywall prevents me from reading anything Gregg Doyel related. Not sure there is a more miserable person on the planet right now than Gregg Doyel.2 points

Another example of why MaxPreps rankings are a joke. If every user on this site made a top 25 i don’t think there would be a single one worse than this. Besides maybe Piratefan.1 point

Beat me to it. Love the guy or hate the guy, the left's obsession with him used to be a mystery but this is spot on.1 point

https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2022/08/09/travel-ball-officials-the-crisis-facing-aau-referees-umpires/65386081007/ A good read, but disturbing. It's about travel baseball and AAU basketball but thought the GID brethren would enjoy it as well. I'm so glad my children never had any interest in travel sports.1 point

Oddly enough I received a lot more thank yous last Friday than jeers, granted it was an intra-squad scrimmage but I’ll take a W wherever I can.1 point

The leftist MSM doesn't really want Trump gone. His four years in office were a ratings bonanza for the likes of CNN and MSNBC.1 point

FDA Can't Stop Harassing Distillers Who Made Hand Sanitizer During the Pandemic: https://reason.com/2022/08/08/fda-cant-stop-harassing-distillers-who-made-hand-sanitizer-during-the-pandemic/ Agreed. Doing business with the federal government and expecting largesse from them is indeed a "no good deed goes unpunished" scenario.1 point

What's the over/under on how long until they burn their bridges and pi** everyone off at NP? There's usually a reason why coaches job hop so much. It sounds like with his son it truly proves the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Hope it works out for the Cougars.1 point

Why did 6 guys receive D1 offers and not actually sign with a D1 school? Who are the 8-9 players that will have D1 offers by the time the season ends?1 point

This summer sometime? Not really sure of the details. Dabo Swinney says it best: “My transfer portal is right there in that locker room, because if I’m constantly going out every year and adding guys from the transfer portal, I’m telling all those guys in that locker room that I don’t believe in them, that I don’t think they can play,” Swinney said. “We’re also not doing our job as coaches and recruiters if we’re bringing in a bunch of transfers. We’re not going to build our roster on transfers.”1 point

There’s one word to describe someone like Gregg Doyel, and that’s unhinged. Way too many people in that profession have just absolutely lost their minds in the last 5-6 years. Nobody fell further and harder than Rick Reilly though. He hit every branch of the way down. Olberman needs 24 hour surveillance.1 point

Hey, we still in denial that we ruined a year of children’s lives due to school lockdowns and closures in the name of “science?” I’m finally seeing some lefty media outlets whisper.1 point

Sure you can have your opinion. I won’t comment on the liberal part. It wouldn’t be a great day for you lol. Kids will be kids, and that’s part of growing up. If your a athlete you held to a higher standard, because again it’s about a Team! Not “I”. Don’t play sports is my direction. You want to ruin what you work for during the summer, and during the season. Great Take a different direction. You have the greatest four years of your life in front of you. It goes fast as we all know. Not saying kids should be suspended a whole season. But maybe a ego check is required. You get caught that’s on you, and your selfishness.1 point

I’m a huge fan of the NLC. I believe there are lot of great teams in this conference. They all have the tools to compete year in and out for 4a ship. Warsaw-Hands down will run this conference this year. Bart ball is always overwhelming and can bite you. It’s effective and they just get it done plain and simple. Hate the offense, but it will get them to state. Concord- Defending champs. They had all the kids in the right spots and had a great team connection. It showed with there play. Love that coach there. He gets those dudes to play. They will be right at the top and be a force within conference. One thing is concord always has a surprise. Count on it. Plymouth- New coach. I really don’t have much to say. John Barron was a great coach. But the wheels fell off. Change is good, and I hope Plymouth can get back to being a force. Wawasee- They seem to have a lot of issues from numbers. Kids just not wanting to go out. A complete overall of wawasee might be needed. That team was very competitive a distant memory ago. Hope they find there identity again. Northwood- They have everything in place to run the table this year. They are my pick for 4a north. They have the offense weapons. That defense will be a force with Evers leading the way. Team to watch from the north. Mishawaka- With Fishers departing people may think back to rebuilding and his brother is a year away. Everyone knows that offense can strike at any point! Then your chasing your tail. They will be right at the top. They will compete, because his brother is very on top that offense. Watch out. Northridge- Great run last year by this team. Wogoman built Northridge into a power and the kids knew the standard at Northridge. Everything was in place for them to peak. What can you say, it was a historic run. Can they do it again?. I think they can. They can be right at the top for a conference championship and compete in that tough sectional. Eppley will have them ready. Rumor mill was Gott moved for family reasons. Top 25 player in state. That hurts from a QB level. QB coach has his work cut out for him. Goshen- Wogoman era begins. What he built at Northridge with the culture and players beginning to believe they can compete. Goshen is in great hands. I think these kids were thirsty for a change. Watching a few games last year, they have some kids that got the edge. Senior class to be has some guys that got that football mentality they will compete! No doubt. I hope Goshen gets back to being Goshen.1 point

You do realize that Plainfield has double the enrollment of Cathedral? Cathedral has enrollment of approximately 1100 students, and about half of those are young ladies, just to refresh your memory. Not all male students are all state caliber football players. In fact, a small percentage of Irish football players ae recruited to high D1 colleges. Hard work pays off at most private and parochial schools, both in the classroom and on the field of play. The Irish will play wherever they're placed10 points
