And sent an email out to IFCA this morning on this very topic: Drones HOWEVER......... I find it hard to believe that News Choppers had issues with 600ft or lower flying drones in an EZ of a HS football game. Call me crazy on that one

Chopper Charlie at WSBT (Charlie Adams) and Chuck Freeby at WNDU in the 90's was a big deal. Cost of fuel and other increases made not worth it. South Bend use to have great Friday night coverage, its still does the job but no where like it use to. WSTB and WNDU had the bigger budget, but know one out hustled FOX 28 and Dean Huppert, they had camera guys going in every direction of Michiana and dedicated a full half hour of Friday night coverage. It was much watch TV back in the day.

What a week for the WRC to show what they are made of. Things can get Nutty come sectional time. No power rankings this week as I will wait til the end of the season to post that. Let's get into the picks. 1A NV @ NC- Not a clear black and white game here. I have not been impressed with NV the past couple weeks but NC isn't very good and I think NV wins handily. NV 48 NC 12 PH @ RP- If RP handles business week 2 of the sectional could get pretty darn NUTTY. I like RP to win by mercy RP42 PH6 COV @ Attica- Moore getting ejected just proves why Botner from NV is better. Botner would never get ejected and I know moore has put up stats but give me botner all day. Covington wins by mercy 2A Seeger @ Lewis Cass- Tough season for the pats. Cass is a good team but I don't know much about them. Give me Cass by Mercy North Posey @ SV- I think this is the game everyone is curious about in the WRC. Is SV for real? I think SV gets a little too much hate on this page and I get it, but they did handle everybody in the conference handily. NP is not the team they were last year, but they still have talent. Also, SV is at home, and it will also be a 2-hour drive for the Vikings. SV has certainly gotten better up front week after week thanks to Blank. Coleman and Weir are always going to be threats and Shryock is tank. Garzo 2.0 is the best true QB i think the conference has seen. However, NP is really really good and I think they win by 1 score. NP 45 SV 38

I think that Penn gets the job done against LC but then lays a turd against CP. Snider traveling to Elkhart is going to be a tough game for the Panthers.... I think Snider comes out with a one score win. While Carroll gets to rest up after halftime. I believe we will see the matchup everyone expected to see in last years regional. Carroll v CP. If I am not mistaken would be at Carroll. Carmel v Zionsville...idk coin flip. It stinks that Westfield is playing Harrison in game 1...but I think Westfield wins the sectional. HSE and Fishers should be playing one another for the sectional title, setting up a great game against Westfield in the regional. I am going to take HSE in the rematch against Westfield. I am going to take Carroll over CP if the game is played at Carroll. I will then take HSE to represent the North in the state championship game. In the south I think Brownsburg and LN will be playing in regionals While Warren will be waiting for the winner of sectional 8, which could have a new representative for the first time in a while...However, I am taking Center Grove until I am proven wrong. I am buying the hype with LN (that four week stretch to end the season is impressive to me). I think LN will play Warren again in Semi-State.... LN will play HSE for state, with LN coming out undefeated state champs. Which would be a historic run, since the Wildcats have not made it through Regionals...ever...(at least based on the data I can see on Harrell)

That they're in a sectional with his historically mid to bad programs such North Central, Lawrence Central, and Lawrence North. Outside LN this year, I wouldn't exactly call that murderer's row. In fact I wouldn't favor either of those schools to win 3A, 4A, 5A in any given year.

That's pretty cool! As a Cathedral alum, I don't remember this. I wonder why the games with Sacred Heart after 1956 are not listed? We played them every year through the time that Sacred Heart had the name change to Kennedy High School, and then merged with Chartrand to form today's Roncalli. Westfield and Noblesville play annually for the Midland Rail trophy. The old Midland RR ran between Westfield and Noblesville. Today it is a paved pedestrian trail.

A little better than some of their Public counterparts, not so much other Public Counterparts.

Don’t see Illinois beating Oregon and the real winner in this scenario is the team that finishes third in the tiebreaker. I know the winner gets a bye but the conference title games just don’t mean much and the 3rd place team (whether 11-1 or 10-2) gets an extra week off anyway…and a likely home game, especially if they are actually 11-1.

Cathedral’s enrollment (and make up) is not at all the same as some of the other 6A programs being referenced in this thread.

I am new to posting on this page, but have watched it all year. I am so sick of people bashing my Wildcats. I believe coach Barrett and Coach Blank have put together a team that will not only win the sectional we are in, but could possibly go very deep in the tournament. Coach Blank has made all the difference this year with the line, and rumor has it that he will be also teaching here next year! These boys have dominated the WRC Conference the last two years, and now its their time to shine! I am sure Donnie Baker and a few of his friends will quote and make fun of me, but I DONT CARE!

All three of Guerin's TDs came after LCC turnovers ... including a pair of picks where LCC had driven down to the Guerin 5 and 3. In the second half, LCC had zero turnovers. Actually, I'd argue that 2014 was the closest for a 2A title. LCC pretty much breezed through the 2A post-season before losing to eventual state champ, RCHS, in semi-state 17-14 after trailing 14-0 at the half at RCHS. RCHS went on to put on a show at LOS convincingly beating Mater Dei 45-21. Given LCC's team that year, and being at LOS, it's very likely that, had they pulled off the upset over RCHS, they would have also easily handled Mater Dei and picked up a 2A blue ring. It was only questionable because it had been happening all game and wasn't called, so it might have looked questionable. The thing that makes it a whole bunch less questionable is that LCC had been applying pressure all night long and, as long as the Guerin QB had to make that pass on that play, either LCC rushed one player or there was holding on that play. Remember, that Nay did the same thing to Lutheran with even more on the line in the state championship game in 2019. Trailing with under a minute left in the game, LCC scored, to bring the game to 28-27, then opted for a successful two-point conversion with less than 10 seconds on the clock.

Geurin had a very questionable holding called on them in the 3rd quarter that brought back a 65 yard touchdown throw to go up 28-7 midway through the 3rd quarter. Same exact spot that a questionable holding call was made last year in a pivotal moment of the second round of sectionals at LaRocca field. Coincidence...I think not!!!

Speedhawk saw a SD fan yesterday and l just lost it. Smug jerk. I was eating an outside lunch at this nice little restaurant. and he was sitting eating some salad. Salad. Typical Knights fan. He was there with his stupid SD fan wife who of course was eating a salad too. Jesus Christ I hate South Dearborn fans so much. I could tell he thought he was part of the best fans in the EIAC. He didn't say anything. but the way that stupid jerk was chewing. Jesus Christ. He had a Knights t-shirt on. I bet you he bought it at the team store like a schmuck. He and the stupid cashier probably had this big self-satisfactory exchange. "I'd like to buy this best t-shirt in the EIAC with the best money in football please". I couldn't believe this guy. He just kept going at this salad like he's king of the world. I just tried to ignore that attention seeking jerk but he just kept at it. Every time I looked away he'd conveniently grab for his water or some passive aggressive BS so that it would draw my eyes to him. LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME BEST FAN IN THE EIAC RIGHT HERE. Jesus. You should have seen his wife. What a cow. The waitress came by to ask them how their food was and she relayed how satisfied she was in the most smug way possible.
