Thanks for this by the way Coach. We may have our disagreements but you’re a real straight shooter. Taking the fact that a families’ entire life was turned upside down tonight (which is the real travesty) out of the equation, I’m going to say something that confirms this very point told by @Coach Nowlin. The fact that this story broke two weeks ago and was squashed by all of Michigan’s insiders and then breaks as TRUE just a week after national signing day is an awful look and seems calculated. Was hoping my favorite football program would be better than this. Apparently not.2 points

Why should these individuals be denied their dream of U.S. Citizenship just because of the country they were born in? Where is the objective evidence that any of these 38 individuals may be terrorists or "enemies of the USA"? "Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. "Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" -- The New Colossus, Emma Lazarus, 18831 point

Yes, it’s just like the units that the NCAA pays out for March Madness. ESPN is plenty culpable for its role in the process appearing to be a mess, but I think the SEC holds more sway over the process than ESPN does.1 point

It’s a huge problem. You have announcers propagating agendas during pregame, game time, and post game shows, along with the talking heads at ESPN discussing all week long. Very definite slant towards SEC and ACC1 point

I do think Michigan covets Deboer and Kiffin would love to go Bama. The silly season has reached new levels of craziness1 point

Well, unless I'm missing something, it's clear that Bloom. South and/or Col. North won't be joining the HHC next season and will go the independent route at least for next season. Both teams have five opponents on their schedule for next season so far with those opponents being a mix of various conferences.1 point

Outstanding Texans find some inside information I have received. It's a very well oiled machine when it comes to organizational structure. One of my really good friends is connected to a current NFL interim HC. Told him stories of his interview season last few years. Blown away by Texans owner and structure (year they hired Ryans). Said Bidwell and Arizona was clown world1 point

The statement about craving "meltdowns" is all in how the individual reacts to the meltdown. MICHIGAN FOOTBALL is having a meltdown, I am not. YOU had a meltdown because your favorite team missed the 12 team playoff. Nowhere near the same. One is meltdown worthy, the other isn't. I'm not sure how you keep falling for this stuff daily, lol. The guy has "everything I do is satire" in his profile.1 point

The topic? Sure I care about the topic. What football fan wouldn't? I don't care what Michigan's reasons were for firing him. It's none of my business. Of course you can care about the student athletes. What's your point? . The only thing I know with certainty is that you care about and crave "meltdowns", you made that public. And you just got a massive one from your favorite team. Like I said, must be a good week for you. As for Moore? As Mitch Albom stated, I'll wait for the investigation to play out before throwing stones at the guy. All we know right now is that: A: He has mental issues. I hope he rights that ship. Mental illness is a serious thing that no one should be burdened with. B: There's someone else involved in that inappropriate relationship. Hopefully that person is okay.1 point

Mitch Albom: Sherrone Moore firing surprise, but it's not a shock: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/mitch-albom/2025/12/11/sherrone-moore-firing-not-surprising-just-the-latest-ncaa-college-football/87711834007/?tbref=hp Yep, this could happen at any university.1 point

Anyone wanna make a list of the best players they played against while in High School? I'll go (in no particular order) Jack Kiser - Pioneer George Karlaftis - West Lafayette Jackson Anthrop - LCC Coy Cronk - LCC Matt Desomer - Andrean Some would say it was an honor, I called it multiple ass kickings that I took.1 point

This is great. More haters today than there were yesterday. If the Irish win the championship next year, as many are expecting, the college football world will lose their minds. Notre Dame derangement syndrome at it's best. Arrogant Notre Dame reaches unfair agreement with College Football Playoff What the hell is this nonsense? It won’t ease the pain this holiday season for Fighting Irish fans, but if the exact same scenario from 2025 plays out, Notre Dame will be in the 12-team College Football Playoff in 2026. ‘Farce And Total Waste Of Time’: Notre Dame Pulls Incredibly Weak Sore Loser Move Amid College Football Playoff Drama) According to Notre Dame athletic director Pete Bevacqua, the memorandum of understanding the Irish signed with the College Football Playoff guarantees the program an automatic berth in the field if it finishes ranked in the top 12, beginning with the 2026 playoff — via Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports. Bevacqua added that Notre Dame would also receive an automatic bid if ranked in the top 13 should the playoff expand to 14 teams. The current memorandum of understanding, however, only applies to 12- or 14-team formats and would not guarantee a spot if the field grows larger than 14. I get so sick and tired of the Notre Dame bias that exists in college athletics, especially college football, it’s sickening. And now it’s so bad that we now have them being the only school with a … playoff clause? What the hell is that? I’m so happy Notre Dame was the first team out of the College Football Playoff this season, couldn’t have happened to a better university.1 point

It's widely accepted that Notre Dame falls somewhere between 1-6. Unless of course you're Paul Finebaum, the governor of Alabama, 90% of SEC country and a few posters on this board whose only aim is to troll this site and antagonize. This really isn't even about the fact that Notre Dame could have won the title this year and now the champion will have an * next to their name. It's about the deception conveyed by the committee leading up to the final day. The CFPS is a "farse and a waste of time" until the final week.1 point

Town population is often a bit of a misnomer because A LOT of suburban growth happens outside of town limits. Good example is New Pal - town population is 3,600, but the school district population is about 20K. Brownsburg school district population is 54,335, Avon is 58,796 and Westfield is about 54K. So, they are somewhat comparable. Brownsburg is a community people move to because of the schools. I'm not sure how many transfers they're getting. (Wayne Township's population is about 147K, but a decent part of that population is in Speedway and IPS's districts). As far as public school transfers Brownsburg was +12 (256 outgoing, 268 incoming) (of the incoming, 68 from Avon, 27 from Tri-West, 40 from Wayne Twp.; outgoing 87 to Tri-West, 37 to Wayne Twp.) Avon was -523 (146 incoming, 669 outgoing) (of the incoming, 34 from Wayne Twp., 31 from Danville; outgoing: 183 to Plainfield, 108 to Wayne Twp., 100 to Danville) Westfield was -165 (73 incoming, 238 outgoing) (27 of the incoming from Noblesville; outgoing, 56 to Sheridan, 41 to Carmel) Given the relatively small number of incoming transfers, it would indicate that all three schools (which would all be in high demand) are very limited on how many transfers they allow, likely due to space concerns. If you want to transfer to an out-of-district school, they have to be willing to take you, and they can cap the number of transfers. FYI, Ben Davis/Wayne Township was +954 (1522 incoming, 568 outgoing). And a lot of BD's outgoing transfers were to IPS or to online charter schools. Plainfield got 50, Brownsburg 40, Avon 34.1 point

They also don’t have 6 classes and have a tournament that stretches a month and a half. I remember when football was the ONLY classed sport. I’m ok with football being different.1 point
