  1. If all this doesn't matter...give me your plan to make Gary West a football power...if you choose to take this challenge

  2. I actually think Fields was a much better pick than Trubisky.

  3. They have 2 state titles since 2014 and have been to semi-state 3 other times in said timeframe. They’re doing just fine.

  4. His first offer came after having an impressive in person Camp in Ohio after his Freshman year, not during or after his Sophomore year, JULY 11th, to be exact. You would know this with just a tad bit of research instead of just looking to find a way to passive agressive call out this particular kid for his twitter presence, which is what almonst every single Power 5 conference recruting cordinators/coaches rely on. Maybe you know more about this ole recruting thing than all those teams listed in the link. 5. You know, when it comes to recruiting strategy, I’m willing to give the SEC schools the benefit of the doubt. They do pretty well.

  6. Regarding the original topic: Warsaw is approaching the level Phil Jensen had them at during the 1999-2001 seasons. Scheduling Warren Central is sending a message to the rest of the state that the Tigers fully intend on being a significant player in the tournament moving forward. Good for them and good for Northern Indiana Football. Without me scrolling back five pages, what is the difference between Tech and WC?

  7. Why not, right? It seems to be one of the more popular topics regardless of the forum.

  8. Seems like it was a whole lot of noise about nothing. We have seen stranger things happen, but trading with a team this late in the first round, or later makes no sense. Part of me thinks someone let the story leak; the timing of this breaking today is just odd. The team President as well as the GM and the Head Coach each made individual trips to A A Ron's home in Cali and made no progress. So maybe the noise from today made both sides pause?

  9. In case anyone is wondering, Slater’s father just declared for the NBA draft and he is slated to go early round 1. Slater is 6-4 and his dad DWARFED him! Holy cow! Like the fields/bears pick at 11. I thought they’d move up to 5/6 (wasn’t too far off). How long does Fields remain a Chicago QB? Is this a piece to get Wilson from Seattle?

  10. Did not see that coming! But I am all in on Justin Fields! When the dust clears, the Bears may well have made the move of the entire draft here.

  11. The numbers are what they are. The problem comes when correlation and coincidence are confused with causation. The point reflected in bold escapes me. Are you saying that two of the conference schools are different in some ways than the other conference members? Because I suspect that there are a lot of conferences whose members are not homogeneous.

  12. 32 sure knows how to "deflect" any questionable discussion regarding his beloved Titans. In every instance someone has brought up/questioned the D-I transfer, he's moved the discussion in another direction! And maybe that's because there isn't a lot to discuss?? Family move, releasing school had no issue, then done deal. Just curious how that all played out?? Ya know, since a certain basketball player from down South was forced to sit a year for what was deemed as an "athletic transfer" Personally - I could care less...Gibson won't need any help this upcoming year the way it is. They're going to be a monster to deal with. Mt. Vernon has a former Raider running the controls now - won't be too much longer and he'll have them in the mix EVERY year.

  13. A) I'm not sure the HHC can get "worse" as a football conference. They would certainly be competitive in mens/womens basketball and baseball. B) In the final Sagarin ranking for 2020 CE finished 25th, Silver Creek was 67th, ahead of FC(73) and well ahead of NA(121), Jeff(148), Seymour(171), BNL(189) and JC(244). C) Silver Creek plays both FC and Jeff next year, so I guess we'll see if they can be competitive in football.

  14. Games are not won and lost on the field. They are determined by who looks best on Twitter, right? #HashtagGoesHere

  15. The idea is to make the HHC better, not worse.

  16. Can’t believe SC moving to the HHC hasn’t been broached again.

  17. If having a large enrollment was the sole reason to success, there’s no way North Central, Pike, Lake Central are as bad as they’ve been for this long. Culture, commitment, coaching. Common theme. Anyone doubt that with O’Shea’s turn around at NC?

  18. You can say what you want about Bart Curtis. But one thing for sure: he is as hard-nosed, old school, as you can get. He backs down from no one.

  19. I know it's not a simple comparison but anyone remember Jack Kiser from Pioneer?? Kid was awesome playing 1A football, everyone said he was not going to be able to make it at Notre Dame because of his high school competition. Granted JK was hurt last year, but he got some LB playing time 2 years ago and the staff loves him because he understands the game and he's always around the ball. If he can stay healthy I think he's got a chance at starting at Rover this year for the Irish.

  20. But it’s not irrelevant to his development as a whole person. I know this is a football site. But for the love of God, can we quit expecting (demanding?) that high school kids act like professionals? I don’t care if a kid is the #1 5-star recruit in the nation. If his coach and parents aren’t reminding him that he’s one injury away from becoming just like everyone else, and preparing him for a life outside of football, they’re doing him a disservice.

  21. And only 4 other 6A programs within an hour (Elkhart, Penn, FW Carroll, Homestead) and 2 of those schools do not have room for out of conference play. The Region schools aren't THAT much further, but with the time difference that adds to issues. I love that the Tigers have looked to Indy.

  22. In the Covid 19 recruiting scenario its amazing these big time schools would offer a sophomore from a 2A school. Its a classic case of internet/twitter self promotion ....it you don't know what I mean look it up. This kid checks some boxes but why would an SEC school offer a scholarship valued around 200k to a kid they have never seen in person? The NFL for years based everything on combine numbers, but many high school kids are getting offers with zero measureables. I have seen skilled kids offered by schools that run 4.7 40's.
