  1. I have retired from Friday nights and Seymour has offered me a volunteer Friday night position for their home games. I’m looking forward to the next phase of my Football career and seeing more HHC action. I should actually get a chance to watch the games and see someone besides the QB and the LT. 😉

  2. This year’s non-conference schedules for every HHC team. BNL: at Martinsville, at Bloomington North, Madison Columbus East: at Bloomington South, Columbus North, at Bloomington North Floyd Central: at Louisville St. Xavier, Terre Haute South, Silver Creek Jeffersonville: Whiteland, at Louisville Fern Creek, at Silver Creek Jennings County: South Dearborn, Brown County, Madison New Albany: at Franklin, Christian Academy (Louisville), Bloomington North Seymour: Greenwood, Brownstown Central, at Bloomington South Observations 1. BNL and Jennings County are the only teams to keep Madison on the schedule. Only difference is, Jennings County actually has a rivalry with Madison. I’m kind of surprised BNL has maintained Madison. 2. Bloomington North is the most common non-conference opponent for the HHC as BNL, Columbus East, and New Albany all play them. Is this just a coincidence or is this by Bloomington North’s design? Could this foreshadow a future move or am I just being a conspiracy theorist? Lol 3. Columbus East, by choice, is playing all of its sectional opponents during the regular season. This is a first. Obviously they already have to play Seymour but adding both Bloomington schools despite being in the same sectional with them is a shocker. East never even used to play non-conference sectional opponents during the regular season when Bob Gaddis was coach (except for the years when rival Columbus North was in the same sectional). 4. After playing all of their non-conference games on the road last season, Jennings County will play all of their non-conference games at home this season. 5. The U.S. 50 schools (BNL, Jennings County, and Seymour) are playing the exact same non-conference opponents that they played last year. 6. Columbus East is playing Bloomington South for the first time ever in the regular season. Their four previous match-ups all occurred during the postseason. 7. Floyd Central is playing both Louisville St. Xavier and Terre Haute South for the first time ever this year. 8. Jeffersonville is playing Whiteland for the second time ever. The last time was in 1972. They will play Louisville Fern Creek for the fourth time ever and the first time since 2019. 9. New Albany will play Christian Academy of Louisville for the first time ever. And, based on what I can tell, it looks like they’ll also be playing Franklin for the first time ever.

  4. You had me until you mentioned Notre Dame, the most over ranked and over hyped team year in and year out. Top 5-10 recruiting class every year and is a non-factor in the national title picture… Carry on

  5. Congrats to Crown Point brothers Paul and Will Clark on their verbal commitments to the university of Buffalo. Paul looks to play OL and Will at LB/DE I believe. Good gets for the Bulls.

  8. I guess it's because we lost so much.... especially considering Gennicks at QB, and so many 3 year starters. I guess. But there are some good kids coming back... Paul Oliver will move to QB, Christian Shonk was a starter on D at NT/ILB, Russell Goodman led the team as a Freshman at ILB. Jesse Voigtschild a sparkplug as a soph at WB and DB, Ty Boyd at DT and OT. Paul Oliver coming off a stellar frosh year at WR and DE>. Hayden Feltner will have to step up at WR but was solid when he did see action as a sophomore. Ashton White was a force on the defense side of the ball as a junior. Hank Gennicks on both sides of the ball in the trenches. Jacob Breedlove at 6'7 at OT last year.. expect he'll see some defensive time his senior year. Blane Kirkman with a chance to make his mark his senior year. Eli Scott got valuable time starting early in his soph season at WB...will be another one with opportunity as a junior. Several Linemen graduated... who will step up and seize their moment? Wide Receiver/DBack are areas of concern...who steps up? Of course, the QB will be a new face to the position, but both Johns and Cox are gone from the RB slot-- Ahh the joy of football. Someone always steps up in summer workouts, someone always works their way into getting their shot. Let's hope we all stay healthy first and foremost.. The schedule looks a lot different with North Vermillion gone, and long time rival North Daviess gone... annnd the week 9 opponent of 2 years.. South Putnam Gone.. 4A Western will have a haul to Linton in September.... and St Teresa from Decatur Illinois has been a powerhouse.. Phalen in week 9? I think there will be growing pains....but you don't know how kids will respond....

  10. lol, taking care of the officials. I told the AD of you put me in charge, we’ll never have a problem having officials. I committed for this season, may go check out a big game on off nights, may sub, I’ve had several people contact me. For the last 40 years my Friday nights have been dictated by my schedule, frankly I’m kind of looking forward to some free time. May just sit in the back yard at the fire pit and drink, who knows what I’ll be doing.

  12. Reading the article SF is amazed by how cavelier the term "Ruling Class" is used and readily accepted by everyone. If there were not a Donald Trump elected President, would we ever see the depths of this "Ruling Class" like we are now? This "Ruling Class" is so dead set on keeping the likes of another non-member of that ilk, they are dedicated to absolutely ruining this man as an example to anyone who would ever attempt to try breaking them up again. This also means there will never be a third party candidate that will ever garner enough support to break into that block. So vote your convictions and feel good about it, but just know that action will never amount to anything except your feeling good about it. You can like him or dis-like him, but nobody can deny the overtly political motivation behind these latest charges especially in the face of the obvious criminality that is absolutely evident in the Biden family up to and including the current President immediately after Hunter Biden crime partner Devon Archer testified before congress.

  14. From a newsletter regarding the most recent Trump indictments: Sorry, I can never, ever support the mental machinations required to somehow justify the thought of voting for the lesser of two evils, in this case Trump vs. Biden. Both are evil, bad, choices. Therefore I will choose neither.

  16. Not a clue on either. Boeke especially with the offers he has on the table. Illinois state would be intriguing for Boeke, but I think he will wait out the season to announce. on Hayden, I haven’t heard much.

  18. I'll add that kids are not allowed to just be kids anymore. A small school athlete most likely plays 2 or 3 sports. Then you have all 3 coaches wanting them to do all of the summer or off season conditioning, scrimmages or tournaments. For a teen today, it is almost like a full time job. Go to baseball, then basketball then football. When do they have time to unwind and just enjoy their teen years? 1 week in July? Add to that coaches pressuring them to play only 1 sport. Where does it end? I can assure you that burnout is for real. I'm not saying that is what has happened with the kid from Triton, but seems to be happening more and more.
