  1. I heard they were delayed due to weather Friday and with officials in short supply they’re finishing the game Monday evening.

  2. Floyd Central won that game the exact way they lost the Seymour game last season. Nonetheless, it’s a win our program needed BADLY. Floyd Central has a pretty good offense with some good weapons but their pass defense is struggling. I’m not sure why because there are experience DBs in that secondary. If they don’t get that solved the game against Seymour in a few weeks could be a game in the 40s.

  3. I thought FC had a good advantage with THS having to make a very long trip down there, but that was obviously negated by moving the game to BNL.

  4. WW up 27-0 at half. WW has a 16 yd TD run by QB Chase, 3 yd TD run by Cress, 5 yd TD run by Miller, and a 25 yd TD by Chase again.

  5. Ok, Snider and Carroll are clearly better than East Noble, I would say North Side is as well with a full team, so East Noble slots in at 4th, which is what I said

  6. Yeah, I know the feeling with key injuries, but I usually hang in there. However, it's hard when you know you don't have your best team out of the field. I remember two seasons ago when we faced a pretty good New Albany team at New Albany in the regional. I found out just before the game that our best running backs were out and also our starting QB with injuries incurred in the sectional title game. We put a JV backfield on the field which just couldn't move the ball and New Albany wore our defense down since they spent much of the game out on the field. New Albany easily won that game and it was really frustrating to watch. You already brought up the regional game at Castle where we ended up going down there with our top two RBs out of the game with injuries. Maybe it just seems that way, but South seems to have more injuries than the average team when it comes to post season play.

  7. 42-0 with a running clock that started in the 3rd quarter. Homestead literally couldn’t do anything. Couldn’t stop the Power T. Couldn’t stop the trap. Couldn’t build a rhythm on offense. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse performance out of the Spartans. Noblesville is interesting. Pretty big and aggressive on D. A lot of 3rd year players. Offense is running the Power T to perfection and they have a TE with 4 Mac and an IU offer. He made some very nice plays tonight in the passing game. The HCC is deep this year.

  8. The winner of the Knox / Judson game takes home the hardware. I wasn’t that impressed with LaVille. Triton had a handful of mistakes that cost them the game. LaVille wasn’t what we have seen out of LaPaz in the last few years.

  9. Of course, but there are things that folks are accustomed to when they watch Warren Central football, which is the highest of praise… But they have not been the same program for 3 + years regardless of the opponent. I never thought I’d see the day when a win over Warren Central DROPS a team (Carroll) in my rankings, lol. They are 15-18 in their last 33…

  10. to be fair the bnl qb Memphis Louden (best qb name in state) left game late with cramps or injury of some sort.

  11. What if Pioneer wins? Oh wait, none of their players are old enough to have a driver’s license.

  12. Thanks. The play occurred with 4:41 remaining in the first half (1:02:15 of the video). You are correct. The receivers never had possession, so it was still a kick when recovered by the kickers. It’s the kickers’ ball at the spot of the recovery, but they cannot advance it. This was, unfortunately, an inexcusable officiating error. Glad it didn’t affect the outcome.

  13. Their problems last night went way beyond having an immature QB.

  14. They weren’t competitive in the second half against Snider yet they’ll be competitive with BD, LN and LC?…color me skeptical. BD will have little mercy, LC is looking like a fringe state title contender and they haven’t beaten LN since 2019… I know you are loyal to Kirschner and all but let’s call a spade a spade…the game has passed him by. You’ve been claiming he’s going to “fix it” for 2 years now. They have no offensive identity, are using their 4 star DL to punt (and tried two fakes from inside of their own 30 yard line last night), and have no competent kicker as every 4th down inside of the 20 is an automatic “go for it.”

  15. I don’t remember the exact time. It was about five minutes left in the half. Jennings County kicked it off. The Brown County player muffed it. Jennings County picked it up and returned it for a touchdown.

  19. Both Brownsburg and Cathedral have work to do in the secondary on defense. The Irish need to get back to some fundamentals on tackle first then strip, many missed tackles trying to strip the ball. Offensively the Bulldogs need more consistency along the O-line they had some struggles there at times. The Irish need to be more balanced to help out their defense while they are learning. At one point they abandoned the run completely, I think their RB had 5 carries in the first half and he looks to be pretty solid. Becoming balanced will help O'Neil too. Agreed on the one-dimensional offense. Not sure why the run was abandoned because the RB was doing okay, had like 5 carries in the first half and was getting 3 yards a pop. The 3rd quarter was brutal. The Irish defense which wasn't playing great but not terrible (in the first half aside from the secondary) could have used some help in the 3rd. Up until the last 1-2 min of the 3rd qtr the Irish offense went: series 1 2 plays (Interception on a bad decision of throwing the ball away from the back foot) Series 2 3 and out, series 3 3 and out. Defense was on the field for almost 10 minutes. Both teams have plenty to work on and get better (especially on the secondary). I think Brownsburg is very good but needs work on the secondary. Cathedral can be very good also needs work on defense and becoming more balanced. Right now I don't feel either are quite to the level of Ben Davis or Center Grove. They can be though with improvement through the season, it is a marathon not a sprint.

  20. They jumped out 14-0 by the end of 1. Looked like it could get away from Lincoln but their defense stiffened the final 3q…just couldn’t get Reitz off the field on several drives. Hoping for a better outcome on the return trip to The Bowl next Friday.

  24. I knew the behind or on the previous spot rule for this year. These all occurred past the line of scrimmage. One time 30 yards past the line of scrimmage.

  25. Reitz defense much improved. Held Hunt in check for most of the night. Davies pin point accurate. Vera and Summers made their presence felt as well..just too many guys to defend. Not to mention a boom stick at kicker. Lincoln squandered an early opportunity to set the tone when they drove fairly easily into Reitz territory on the first possession. It ended with a holding penalty followed with back-to-back bad snaps. And from there they had to play catch-up all night.

  26. Wish there was some other conference representation here aside from two Bloomington South guys and a Columbus North guy. Nothing against you folks but we need more diversity here. I wish some folks from those other schools would get involved.

  29. Down in the Dallas area, actually Greenville, just a few weeks ago for a funeral. Was around 103 with heat-index in the 115 range. Absolutely brutal in a black suit. Luckily, it was "just like old times" ... the heat, not the funeral. At least the grave site was next to an oak tree and the funeral home handed out water. When I got to Indiana, back in 2001, we didn't have DST. The two time zone thing was a shock though especially when chaperoning a field trip to Fair Oaks and finding out that driving north for less than an hour meant that you arrived at your destination an hour before they opened.

  30. Snider in beast mode again up 45-21 with 5 minutes to go. I knew they had way too much for East Noble, who is actually a good team. They probably finish 4th or 5th this year in the SAC if they were in our conference.
