WISH tv in Indy reporting Bud has been suspended by athletic director Beth DeVinney for insubordination. Bud refused to discuss with WISH tv and no reply from the school administration as of yet.

SHERIDAN, Ind. (WISH) — Bud Wright, who is in his 59th season as coach of Sheridan High School football, has been suspended.

Blackhawks athletic director Beth DeVinney on Friday suspended the Indiana football coaching icon, News 8 has learned.

Sources told News 8 that the suspension was due to insubordination, but Wright declined to discuss the reason.

Wright told News 8 that he is unsure when he’ll be back on the sidelines, but he will not be at Friday night’s game at Clinton Central. He also noted he’s doing fine after missing the first game of the season for an injury he received during a preseason scrimmage.

News 8 reached out late Friday afternoon to DeVinney and Sheridan Community Schools Superintendent David Mundy, and left messages on their cellphones.

Thought this was a spoof on Bud Kilmer at first but he did list WISHTV.

The point is to prevent malicious rumors that could destroy careers from spreading. Bud is in a category all his own with a career that speaks for itself, but precedent is precedent. If you want gossip, I'm sure Sheridan has a barber shop or two you could frequent.

If you'll notice, their update is using the exact same wording. They posted their update using the exact same post that I shared, but sure, keep doubling down that I did something wrong.

It was the same thing sent to me at 8:15 Central time as well, I just fell asleep before 10:32 p.m Central time to link the WISH TV article to stop the madness

I didn't report anything, the 1 report that came in, I ignored because the posting that was made was the same that was sent to every media outlet, so yes, for approximately 45 to 65 mins their wasn't a TV/newspaper link,  the sure horror of such transgressions was noted and handled. 

From there, from ADMIN point of view, nothing to worry from me at least.

Sidenote, the obsession with "needing" or "have to know" from folks who are NOT connected to Sheridan football program is fascinating

 

Now, I truly understand when someone of the stature of Coach Wright has something like this pop up, its going to create conversations and whatnot, my advice, if you're that concerned contact the appropriate folks involved and ask your questions.   

My guess it will get met with, "no comment".  

That is satisfying to me and honestly, I don't care what happened, the folks at Sheridan are involved
