One of the state's best coaches takes over at the highest enrollment school in the state. He can win as many state championships as he want's to. Does the first one come in year two, three, or four? His first tenure at Carmel wielded 1 5A State Championship in 2011 and back to back runner-up in 2013 and 2014. It took him year 2 in order to get to the State Championship but the program was in better shape when Coach Moriarity left and Wright took over than it is now. So it could be year 2 or 3 possibly. I don't feel I am underestimating anything. Carmel even in a 3-7 season gave Westfield their closest game all season losing 17-13 at Westfield, aside from Westfields's close loss to Brownsburg. Kevin Wright is a proven winner he was 53-5 at Warren Central with 1 Sectional Title and 3 State Titles, at Carmel he was 54-10 with 1 State Title and 2 Semi-State Titles. His only losing seasons were 2 seasons at Noblesville. Quote

Good luck to Westfield, they'll need it. In 6A, games are won in the trenches, pretty plain and simple. The higher the enrollment, the bigger the boys on the line. This will be the Carmel/Westfield show with a little bit of HSE/Fishers sprinkled in. The better of Carroll, Crown Point, Penn, and Snider will make a run for it. Quote

I wouldn't exclude Zionsville from the mix completely. They were the last of HCC schools to bump up to 6A but Zionsville has been a growing area for quite some time. especially the Whitestown area that feeds into Zionsville (and borders Brownsburg). Zionsville can't seem to get it done at 2309, which puts them in the Homestead category. What kind of growth are we talking for them to make a run for it? I'm sure Turnquist wouldn't mind a few hundred extra kids. Quote

Their overall schools population has increased by 3,000 students since 2006. It is estimated they will see growth of 200+ students each year for the next decade that is not just High School though. Zionsville and Eagle Township portion of the Town of Whitestown are rapidly growing. 1 Quote

I can't see Carroll staying in the Sectional they are in now for too very long; A realignment might bring the FW Area schools back together at Sectionals in some sort of way. Quote

Unless Snider wins semi-state, they're back in 5A. Quote
