First let me say congratulations to all that won state and to  the teams that lost keep, your heads up getting there is a great achievement.

With the season over and this the first year with new transfer rules will there a lot of kids moving schools.

I think in the more populated areas ( Indy, Ft. wayne, Evansville, and the region) already see some movement and with the rule change this just becomes easier. As I've gained more experience being a head coach I have come to know that recruiting has definitely been going on even before this rule. I just think a lot of the moves have just been kept underwraps but I would imagine we will see some more attention on social media surrounding the topic. I'd venture to say that the rich will continue to get richer and kudos to those coaches that benfit from building strong programs that people respect and kids want to be apart of.

Yay, more kids leaving Frankfort for Clinton Prairie, Rossville, and Clinton Central (?!?!?!)

Two of those schools went 3-6 and the other doesn't have football. I doubt they are getting any game changing players from Frankfort.

Settle down “mon”, it’ll be public “shun.”

I really do not understand how he won’t have to sit out once the season begins. As he will be a senior.

I read about 4 high profile girls basketball players (2 bring sisters) that have already left their teams mid-season this year.  No specific word as of why, but if their teams aren’t producing it wouldn’t be a bad guess to say they are leaving to try to gain eligibility by next season.  This is just getting crazy.

Reminder........If there are stories or social media posts from an athlete directly involved in a move, you can post those. Just avoid rumors please.

"I heard from ___________" is not good enough regardless of who you heard it from.

Butler commit Rylee Canaan leaves Memorial girls basketball program

Thanks @1st_and_10. I didn’t know about the other transfers. Just the Memorial one mentioned in the Evansville paper.

Curious to me is that her father said the decision was made after the loss to Plainfield last Saturday, the same day as the article. But “We have a few video calls today and tomorrow with these [prep] schools.”  He then later mentions she may transfer to another local school.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

My mistake, I thought that other than football the other programs at Frankfort weren't that bad. Wasn't that the reason they decided to hire the baseball coach as the football coach as well? Because he had built a pretty good baseball program there at Frankfort.

Basketball, boy and girls,  has been moribund for several years now as well.  And yes, it seems that the new AD believes Mr. Dudley can create the same competent football program as he did with baseball.  We shall see.  Mostly different athletes from a socioeconomic standpoint.

You would think the same kids playing baseball would also be playing football and basketball. This is the case at most schools. Very odd things going on at Frankfort probably like you said due to the background of students walking the halls. A headache for anyone trying to build a program there for sure.

You would think.  But the male athletes who are from a Hispanic/Latino background (which BTW is over 50% of the FHS student body) seem to mostly gravitate to three sports:

Soccer

Baseball

Wrestling

Now that's not to say they also don't participate in football, cross country, tennis, T&F, etc.  They do, just not in the same numbers as they seem to do in those other three sports.

For all the athletes Frankfort pillaged over the years, it may take the county schools 100 years to catch up.

I don’t have the energy or bandwidth for the Everett Case years, but Larry Kingery, Albert Hendrix,  Rick Swing, Craig Gallipo, Rowdy McKee to name a few.
