It just amazes me that some want to entertain him.  No one has changed him in years.

Unfortunately, that doesn't completely hide him. It works if no one quotes him. Works quite nicely other than that.

That is fair

I also know that if you do ignore someone, you have the ability to click a button to "view" while still ignoring.

I will say this, I was surprised that ND was able to rebound against Brohm Corp, however seems they got off to real slow start with gift points, it happens.   Got tied up rest of my Saturday and missed the 2nd half.

Questions I have for ND followers

How has Kiser and Bowen been this year?

I was at the Louisville game. Both played many meaningful snaps and acquitted themselves well. Bowen is going to be very good.

Does anyone know what time Notre Dame plays Georgia Tech on the 19th. All I'm seeing is TBD. Certainly that can't be the case only two weeks away, can it?

Yes, Networks will decide TV slot/time.

So what if I'm planning a trip to Atlanta from Fort Wayne. How do I plan? Two weeks away and the time still hasn't been decided? Maybe this is normal, lol. I dunno.

Pretty normal, would guess early part of next week they should be released.

It never bothers me to be entertained.

I said it when the rankings came out that with the Irish at 18, it was likely they could find themselves in the playoff picture with teams ranked higher losing and some playing each other as the season progressed. While I still don't think they are worthy of a playoff spot, you have to ask are there really 12 teams good enough to compete for a championship? There may be more parody this season than what we have seen in some time, there are still just a handful of teams who are good enough to compete for a championship.

The Irish had a slow start, but lead 21-7 at halftime.  It looks like they did some serious work, during the bye week, with Riley Leonard throwing the quick slants, and it's paid off.

Happy 100th birthday to The Four Horsemen. It was 100 years ago today that Notre Dame beat a powerful Army team 13-7 at the Polo Grounds in NYC, a victory made legendary by the great Grantland Rice, who gave them their name.

“Outlined against a blue, gray October sky the Four Horsemen rode again.

“In dramatic lore they are known as famine, pestilence, destruction and death. These are only aliases. Their real names are: Stuhldreher, Miller, Crowley and Layden. They formed the crest of the South Bend cyclone before which another fighting Army team was swept over the precipice at the Polo Grounds this afternoon as 55,000 spectators peered down upon the bewildering panorama spread out upon the green plain below.”

Interesting notes:
1. Crowley was the head coach at Fordham when they had the 7 Blocks of Granite offensive line. Frank Leahy was the O Line coach. One of those Blocks was Vince Lombardi.

2. When I still lived in Indy, at the church I attended, I was an usher with Michael Layden helping out from time to time. Michael played at ND when his brother was a Coach. he was quite the character, even in his 90's.

3. While teaching in Catholic schools, I was at a school in the Broad Ripple area, and had a family of students that were the great grandchildren of Stuhldreher.

Elmer Layden owned an insurance agency in the Region for many years.
